La saison pass&eacute;e, il a disput&eacute; 13 rencontres, totalisant 43 plaquages, trois plaquages pour perte, deux sacks, une interception et trois passes d&eacute;fendues. Align&eacute; comme titulaire lors du match de pr&eacute;saison face aux Jaguars, il n&rsquo;avait cependant pas inscrit de statistique au compteur. Dans la rotation d&eacute;fensive, il &eacute;tait d&eacute;sormais consid&eacute;r&eacute; comme la doublure de Davon Godchaux, arriv&eacute; cet &eacute;t&eacute; en provenance de New England.<\/p><p>Sous contrat jusqu&rsquo;&agrave; la fin de la saison, Saunders touchera un salaire de base de 1,3 million de dollars. Pour Jacksonville, sa venue repr&eacute;sente un renfort d&rsquo;exp&eacute;rience sur la ligne d&eacute;fensive, o&ugrave; sa polyvalence et son v&eacute;cu en playoffs devraient peser dans une &eacute;quipe qui veut progresser cette saison.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Luke Fortner prend la direction de la Louisiane<\/h2><p>En contrepartie, les Saints r&eacute;cup&egrave;rent Luke Fortner, 27 ans, draft&eacute; au troisi&egrave;me tour par les Jaguars en 2022. Solide au d&eacute;but de sa carri&egrave;re, il avait d&eacute;marr&eacute; chacun de ses 34 premiers matchs NFL, le lineman a toutefois perdu sa place de titulaire en 2024. Toujours r&eacute;gulier, il n&rsquo;a manqu&eacute; aucune des 51 rencontres possibles depuis son arriv&eacute;e en NFL. Cette saison, il &eacute;voluera sous un contrat d&rsquo;un an &agrave; 1,15 million de dollars, apr&egrave;s avoir accept&eacute; une r&eacute;duction salariale au printemps.<\/p><p>Cette arriv&eacute;e tombe &agrave; point nomm&eacute; pour New Orleans, dont la ligne offensive a &eacute;t&eacute; durement touch&eacute;e par la blessure de Will Clapp, forfait pour la saison en raison d&rsquo;un pied fractur&eacute;. Kellen Moore pourra donc profiter de l&rsquo;arriv&eacute;e de Luke Fortner pour apporter de la profondeur au poste de centre derri&egrave;re Erik McCoy.<\/p><p>Avec ce trade, les deux franchises r&eacute;pondent &agrave; des besoins imm&eacute;diats: les Jaguars renforcent leur d&eacute;fense, tandis que les Saints s&eacute;curisent une ligne offensive fragilis&eacute;e par une blessure.
