L’un des plus grands entraîneurs de l’histoire du football, Pep Guardiola, se dit fan de la NBA depuis longtemps et a dévoilé son Top 3 de joueurs dans la ligue nord-américaine.<\/p>

Ami de longue date de la NBA, Guardiola a même déjà apporté son aide à Joe Mazzulla, coach des Boston Celtics, sur certaines tactiques lors des Finales NBA 2024. Mais cette fois, l’entraîneur espagnol a révélé quels sont ses joueurs préférés dans toute la ligue.<\/p>

« Mes joueurs préférés de l’ère post-Michael Jordan sont Stephen Curry, Luka Doncic et LeBron James », a déclaré Guardiola ce samedi 9 août, en conférence de presse précédant la victoire 3-0 contre Palerme.<\/p>

Grand passionné de basket, Pep Guardiola est ami avec Joe Mazzulla, coach des Boston Celtics, qu’il a même aidé dans ses réflexions tactiques lors des Finales NBA 2024. L’Espagnol a expliqué que la NBA occupe une place importante dans sa vie. En 1992, alors qu’il jouait au FC Barcelone, il avait assisté de près aux Jeux olympiques organisés dans la ville catalane, marqués par la présence du légendaire Dream Team de Michael Jordan.<\/p>

Plus récemment, sa relation avec la NBA<\/a> s’est renforcée, notamment via son amitié avec Mazzulla. Le coach des Celtics a déjà souligné des parallèles entre leurs débuts respectifs :<\/p>

« Évidemment, je suis loin d’être l’entraîneur qu’est Pep, mais nous avons commencé de manière similaire. Il dirigeait l’équipe B du Barça, j’étais en G League avec le Maine. Ils auraient pu choisir un grand nom, mais ils ont pris ce gars assis au bout du banc, sans expérience », a raconté Mazzulla en février dernier dans l’émission Men in Blazers<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>

Mazzulla a également confié que Pep Guardiola l’avait conseillé avant les Finales NBA 2024, remportées par Boston contre Dallas :<\/p>

« Ce que je voulais le plus apprendre de lui, c’était : comment c’est avant de gagner ? Quels sont les défis pour décrocher un premier titre ? Et comment on change une fois qu’on a gagné ? »<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>

Selon lui, Guardiola lui a offert une vision précieuse sur la manière d’anticiper, de s’adapter et de gérer le succès sur la durée.<\/p>
