Rashod Bateman a signé une prolongation de contrat de trois ans avec les Ravens le mois dernier, mais son retour à Baltimore pour la saison 2025 n’était pas garanti plus tôt durant l’intersaison.<\/p>

En mai, les Cowboys avaient exploré la possibilité de réaliser un trade pour récupérer Bateman. L’intéressé a confirmé avoir été informé de cet intérêt. Bien que les discussions n’aient pas abouti, Bateman a reconnu que « c’était une possibilité » qu’il parte à Dallas avant que lui et les Ravens ne se recentrent finalement sur la négociation d’un nouveau contrat.<\/p>

« Je suis reconnaissant envers le GM Eric DeCosta d’avoir réussi à trouver un accord », a déclaré Bateman, cité par Jeff Zrebiec de The Athletic<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>

Le receveur a toujours souhaité rester à Baltimore et était prêt à rester patient pour cela.<\/p>

« C’est la première chose que je lui ai dite : je ne veux aller nulle part ailleurs. « Je sais que tu as beaucoup de choses à gérer, on trouvera une solution quand le moment sera venu. » Ça a pris du temps, comme pour beaucoup de contrats. Il avait plusieurs dossiers à traiter et peut-être d’autres à venir. Le fait qu’il m’ait priorisé, ça montre qu’il me valorise vraiment », a-t-il ajouté.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>
