Avec la décision de LeBron James de rester et le départ de Dorian Finney-Smith, les Lakers disposent d’une marge de manœuvre salariale pour renforcer leur secteur intérieur, un besoin prioritaire depuis l’arrivée de Luka Doncic. La franchise vise à investir sa mid-level exception de 14,1 millions de dollars sur un pivot et cela pourrait être Deandre Ayton.<\/p>

Ayton, le seul survivant<\/h2>

Selon The Athletic<\/a>, trois noms étaient en tête de liste : Brook Lopez, Clint Capela et Deandre Ayton. Sauf que dans la nuit, les deux premiers ont rejoint une nouvelle franchise. Capela va faire son grand retour aux Rockets, le pivot suisse a signé un contrat de trois ans pour 21,5 millions de dollars avec la franchise texane. Brook Lopez lui, s’est engagé avec les Clippers pour deux saisons et 18 millions de dollars. <\/p>

Reste donc plus que Ayton comme cible disponible et ce dernier représente la surprise du moment après avoir négocié un buyout avec Portland. L’ancien des Blazers, plus jeune et prometteur que les deux autres, offre un potentiel intéressant, mais reste moins fiable défensivement.<\/p>

Depuis le titre NBA <\/a>obtenu dans la bulle en 2020, la saison 2024-25 fut la première à 50 victoires pour les Lakers, conclue par une qualification directe en playoffs. Toutefois, l’élimination précoce (4-1) a confirmé l’urgence de renforcer la raquette.<\/p>

« Nous savons que le poste de pivot est l’une de nos priorités principales », a affirmé Rob Pelinka, président des opérations basket. Il promet un été « très actif » pour la franchise.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>

À noter que, les Los Angeles Lakers ont officialisé leur première signature de l’intersaison. La nuit dernière, la franchise californienne a trouvé un accord avec l’ailier-fort Jake LaRavia, 23 ans. Son contrat porte sur deux ans pour un montant total de 12 millions de dollars.<\/p>
