Lorsque l’on parle des publics les plus bouillants en NFL, celui de Philadelphie revient souvent parmi les plus cités. Avant d’affronter les Eagles en playoffs, le linebacker des Rams Jared Verse avait déclaré qu’il « détestait » les fans de Philadelphie. Un avis que ce dernier n’a pas renié depuis, même s’il admet aussi respecter la passion de ces supporters capables de lui hurler toutes sortes d’insultes depuis les tribunes.<\/p>

« J’aime quand un public est vraiment à fond, bruyant, agressif »<\/h2>

Dans une interview accordée à la chaîne YouTube Whistle<\/a>, Verse a d’ailleurs désigné les Eagles comme la meilleure base de fans adverse.<\/p>

« Probablement les Eagles », a-t-il répondu. « Il faut leur reconnaître ça. J’aime quand un public est vraiment à fond, bruyant, agressif… Et ils incarnent parfaitement ça, sans aucun doute. »<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>

Il a ajouté que jouer à Philadelphie représente le défi le plus difficile pour un joueur en déplacement.<\/p>

« Affronter les Eagles, c’est un peu comme jouer contre ton plus grand rival à la fac. Tu ne sais jamais ce qu’ils vont te dire », a expliqué Verse. « Ils vont toujours trouver quelque chose à balancer. Attention, ils ne vont pas non plus dépasser certaines limites, mais ils diront un truc qui te fait réagir : “Attends, tu parles à qui, là ?” »<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>

Verse aura une nouvelle occasion d’entendre le public des Eagles dès la troisième semaine de la saison régulière, lorsque les Rams se déplaceront à Philadelphie. Lors de la saison précédente, sa première en NFL<\/a>, le linebacker a cumulé 61 plaquages et 4,5 sacks. Des prestations qui lui ont permis d’être désigné meilleur rookie défensif de la saison 2024 et d’être sélectionné au Pro Bowl.<\/p>
