Lors de la dernière intersaison, les Chiefs avaient recruté Hollywood Brown pour renforcer leur escouade de receveurs, avec l’espoir que ce dernier devienne un élément clé de l’attaque de Kansas City. Mais une blessure à l’articulation sternoclaviculaire survenue en amont de la saison 2024 a rapidement mis fin à ces ambitions. Brown a dû subir une opération, ce qui l’a tenu éloigné des terrains pendant 15 matchs. À l’aube de la saison 2025, il est déterminé à vivre une saison bien différente.<\/p>

« Pouvoir vraiment montrer ce dont je suis capable »<\/h2>

En 2024, malgré sa blessure, l’ancien joueur des Cardinals a tout de même disputé cinq matchs, dont trois en playoffs, au cours desquels il n’a enregistré que 14 réceptions pour 141 yards, un bilan modeste.<\/p>

« Je me suis vraiment appuyé sur ma foi », a confié Brown mardi à AtoZ Sports<\/a>. « Je suis revenu avec l’envie d’aider l’équipe du mieux que je pouvais. C’est cet état d’esprit qui m’a porté jusqu’à la fin de la saison dernière. J’étais simplement reconnaissant d’avoir eu l’opportunité de revenir. »<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>

Re-signé par Kansas City à l’intersaison, Brown affirme être de retour en pleine forme.<\/p>

« Je suis à 100 %, je poursuis mon travail d’intersaison », a-t-il déclaré.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>

Son objectif principal désormais : rester en bonne santé.<\/p>

« Si Dieu le veut, une saison sans blessure », a-t-il confié. « C’est ma priorité numéro un : pouvoir vraiment montrer ce dont je suis capable. C’est tout ce que je veux. »<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>

Âgé de 28 ans, Hollywood Brown n’a connu qu’une seule saison à plus de 1 000 yards depuis le début de sa carrière, qu’il a partagée entre trois franchises différentes (Ravens, Cardinals, Chiefs). Pour la saison à venir, Brown pourrait bien prendre sa revanche et s’imposer comme une pièce maîtresse de l’attaque d’Andy Reid, avec à la clé enfin une deuxième saison à plus de 1 000 yards dans sa carrière.<\/p>
