Après une intersaison agitée marquée par des rumeurs de transfert, Breece Hall<\/a> a tenu à clarifier sa situation avec les New York Jets. Présent au minicamp obligatoire cette semaine, le running back de 24 ans a révélé avoir reçu un appel déterminant de son nouvel entraîneur principal, Aaron Glenn, qui lui a personnellement affirmé qu’il comptait sur lui pour la saison 2025.<\/p>

« Je voyais les rumeurs comme tout le monde, » a confié Hall aux journalistes<\/a>. « Mais si les gens pensent que tu ne fais pas ton boulot, tu es remplaçable. Là, ça ne s’est pas fait. Je suis toujours là.  Aaron Glenn m’a appelé et m’a dit : ‘Breece, tu crois que je veux te trader ?’ Je lui ai répondu : ‘Je ne sais pas.’ Et il m’a dit : ‘Je ne veux pas. Tu es notre running back.’ »<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>

Après une saison 2024 en demi-teinte, où il a cumulé 876 yards et 5 touchdowns, avec une moyenne de 4,2 yards par course, Breece Hall aborde 2025 avec un sentiment de revanche. En perte de vitesse par rapport à ses standards de 2023, où il figurait parmi les sept coureurs les plus utilisés de la ligue, il est désormais confronté à la concurrence des jeunes Braelon Allen et Isaiah Davis, bien décidés à bousculer la hiérarchie.<\/p>

Une concurrence qui ne semble pas effrayer Hall qui préfère voir le bon côté d’une telle compétition: <\/p>

« Je dois prouver chaque jour que je suis le numéro un. Je suis un coureur capable de jouer les trois downs. La compétition est saine, mais mon objectif reste clair : être le meilleur de cette équipe, et l’un des meilleurs de la NFL. »<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>

Alors que les Jets cherchent à retrouver leur efficacité offensive, Aaron Glenn semble vouloir miser sur la stabilité au moins au poste de running back. Et Breece Hall, malgré les doutes présents lors de cette intersaison, entend bien se réaffirmer comme la pierre angulaire du jeu au sol new-yorkais.<\/p>
