Le retour de Shohei Ohtani sur le monticule de la Major League Baseball (MLB) semble de plus en plus proche. <\/p>

La vedette des Dodgers a effectué plusieurs tests et montre des signes encourageants dans sa rééducation après une opération au coude droit. Ce mardi 10 juin, il a participé à une nouvelle séance d’entraînement avant le match contre les San Diego Padres. Selon l’entraîneur Dave Roberts, bien que la probabilité reste faible, le joueur pourrait rejouer avant la pause du All-Star Game.<\/p>

« C’est tentant. Je suis certain que Shohei est tenté d’arracher son pansement et d’entrer directement dans un match de MLB, mais je pense que nous faisons un bon travail pour le préserver. Et pour être honnête, je ne sais pas si quelqu’un connaît vraiment le bon moment pour le faire lancer à nouveau, mais nous restons très prudents », a déclaré Roberts.<\/p>

Ohtani semble proche de retrouver son rythme et son niveau habituel. Il a lancé trois manches complètes lors de l’échauffement d’avant-match, avec moins de 50 lancers face à deux frappeurs issus des ligues mineures des Dodgers. Il a utilisé des lancers rapides et à effets, jugés positivement par le staff technique. Il s’agissait de sa troisième activité de ce type, marquant un progrès significatif dans son programme de retour.<\/p>

« Je l’ai trouvé très bon. Sa balle rapide avait de la puissance. Les frappeurs ont dit que le jeu se déroulait très bien. Il n’a pas besoin d’une préparation complète, car tout ce qu’il peut nous apporter sera un plus. Mais je continue à faire confiance à Shohei, au Dr (Neal) ElAttrache et à notre équipe médicale. Ce sont eux qui vont décider de la suite. Je suis donc impatient de voir la prochaine étape », a ajouté Roberts.<\/p>

Historique de Shohei Ohtani<\/strong><\/h3>

Ohtani n’a plus lancé en match officiel depuis le 23 août 2023, lorsqu’il jouait encore pour les Los Angeles Angels. Il avait alors été diagnostiqué avec une rupture du ligament collatéral ulnaire, nécessitant une opération de type Tommy John pendant l’intersaison. Devenu agent libre à ce moment-là, cela n’a pas empêché les Dodgers de miser sur lui.<\/p>

La franchise a signé un contrat historique de 10 ans pour 700 millions de dollars avec Ohtani, le plus important de l’histoire de la MLB avant celui de Juan Soto avec les Mets de New York. Pour sa première saison en bleu à Los Angeles, il a joué comme frappeur désigné et a contribué à la conquête du huitième titre des Dodgers en World Series, décrochant également le titre de MVP de la Ligue Nationale.<\/p>

En 2025, Ohtani continue d’afficher un niveau exceptionnel en attaque. Il présente une moyenne au bâton de 29,2 %, avec 23 home runs, 67 points marqués et 39 points produits en 66 matchs. Lors de sa dernière saison en tant que lanceur, il avait affiché une moyenne de points mérités de 3,14 avec 167 retraits sur prises en 132 manches lancées.<\/p>
