Pittsburgh vient de s’offrir les services d’Aaron Rodgers et ce dernier pourrait être rejoint par un visage familier. Les Steelers cherchent toujours à remplacer George Pickens, parti récemment à Dallas, et le nom d’Allen Lazard, receveur des Jets, circulerait déjà comme une piste sérieuse. <\/p>

Lazard sans Rodgers : un pari à tenter pour les Jets ? <\/h2>

Allen Lazard et Aaron Rodgers ont déjà été coéquipiers chez les Packers puis aux Jets, et un constat semble s’imposer : le receveur est performant avec Rodgers, beaucoup moins sans lui. Pourtant, le joueur de 28 ans semblerait vouloir prouver sa valeur en dehors de l’ombre du quadruple MVP. <\/p>

NBC Sports<\/a> rapporte que, selon une source proche du dossier, Lazard verrait un vrai intérêt à réussir sans Rodgers. En début d’année, il a d’ailleurs renoncé à 8,5 millions de dollars non garantis sur la saison 2025 pour rester chez les Jets, ce qui le rendra agent libre dès la fin de la saison prochaine. <\/p>

Sous les ordres du nouveau coach Aaron Glenn, et avec Justin Fields désormais aux commandes, les Jets prévoiraient une attaque centrée sur le jeu au sol. Dans ce contexte, le profil physique de Lazard (1m96, 102 kg) pourrait être idéal pour bloquer efficacement en tant que receveur et créer des espaces pour les running backs. Néanmoins, un départ du receveur dès cet été ne serait pas à exclure. <\/p>

Un retour avec Rodgers ? <\/h2>

Rejouer avec Rodgers ne serait pas exclu pour Allen Lazard, mais ce ne serait ni une évidence ni une priorité, car cette saison 2025 pourrait lui permettre de prouver sa valeur. Quoi qu’il arrive, les Steelers ont toujours un besoin urgent de remplacer George Pickens. Le fait que la franchise n’ait encore rien fait avant la prolongation de Rodgers semble montrer que cette dernière garde l’option Lazard en tête. <\/p>

Mais pour attirer l’ancien Packer, encore faut-il que les Jets soient prêts à s’en séparer cet été, et que le joueur lui-même soit prêt à partir… <\/p>
