Eliminé au stade des finales de conférence pour la seconde année consécutive, Anthony Edwards<\/strong> a une fois de plus démontré sa capacité à mener son équipe vers les sommets. Qu’importe s’il a été surclassé par Shai Gilgeous-Alexander<\/strong> et le Thunder, Antman a livré une nouvelle saison très prometteuse à 23 ans seulement.<\/p>

Un constat qui n’a pas échappé au président des opérations basket des Timberwolves. Tim Connelly<\/strong> s’est ainsi exprimé<\/a> lundi sur le cas de la superstar de Minnesota.<\/p>

« Le meilleur compliment qu’on puisse lui faire c’est de souligner ses nombreux succès au regard de son jeune âge. Qui plus est dans une franchise qui n’a pas souvent connu la victoire jusqu’ici. »<\/p>

Avant de poursuivre, mesurant le chemin parcouru par Anthony Edwards<\/a>.<\/p>

Les progrès qu’il a réalisé cette saison…. Je pense sincèrement qu’il n’a aucune limite. Et qu’il deviendra l’un des meilleurs joueurs de tous les temps. Nous sommes convaincus qu’il est sur cette voie-là.<\/p>

Passé le temps des éloges, Tim Connelly<\/strong> prenait le temps d’adresser un petit message au 1er choix de la Draft 2020, évoquant le défi à venir pour Edwards et la philosophie de jeu souhaitée pour l’avenir.<\/p>

Cet été sera d’autant plus challenging pour lui que nos attentes seront plus élevées, individuellement et collectivement. Sa capacité à être impactant en attaque comme en défense nous oblige à jouer des deux côtés du terrain.<\/p>

13ème attaque et 5ème défense de la ligue cette saison, Minnesota entend donc progresser à tous les niveaux l’an prochain. Et redevenir la citadelle imprenable qu’elle était en 2023-2024 (106,5 points encaissés en moyenne, N°1 en NBA<\/a>). Un défi ambitieux pour les coéquipiers de Rudy Gobert<\/strong>.
