Ancien assistant à Toronto, Sergio Scariolo pourrait quitter son poste à la tête de la sélection espagnole pour rejoindre la NBA, pour la deuxième fois de sa carrière. En quête d’un nouvel entraîneur, les Phoenix Suns pourraient bien l’accueillir. <\/p>

Une réussite FIBA qui donne de l’espoir <\/h2>

Onzièmes de la conférence Ouest avec 36 victoires et 46 défaites, les Suns ont besoin de se relancer. Malgré un trio composé de Kevin Durant, Devin Booker et Bradley Beal, Phoenix a déçu en 2025. Pour la saison à venir, la franchise est à la recherche d’un nouveau coach, et Sergio Scariolo pourrait être l’élu. <\/p>

Selon les informations d’Eurohoops<\/a>, le technicien italien devrait se rendre aux États-Unis prochainement pour rencontrer une franchise ayant demandé un entretien avec lui. Si le nom de l’équipe n’a pas filtré, celle de l’Arizona est actuellement la seule à ne pas avoir d’entraîneur. <\/p>

À la tête de la Roja de 2009 à 2012, puis depuis 2015, Scariolo s’est bâti un solide palmarès : une Coupe du monde (2019), quatre titres de champion d’Europe (2009, 2011, 2015, 2022), une médaille de bronze à l’Euro 2017, une médaille d’argent aux JO de Londres en 2012, et une médaille de bronze à ceux de Rio en 2016. À cela s’ajoute une expérience NBA précieuse, puisqu’il a été assistant de Nick Nurse chez les Raptors, avec qui il a remporté le titre en 2019. <\/p>

Sergio Scariolo n’a plus dirigé de club depuis 2023, année de son départ de la Virtus Bologne. Son éventuel retour en NBA relancerait le débat sur les styles de coaching entre les États-Unis et l’Europe. <\/p>
