Pour l’ouverture de la série de trois matchs, les Boston Red Sox ont remporté une victoire 3 à 1 face aux New York Mets, ce lundi soir (19 mai) au Fenway Park.<\/p>

Il s’agit seulement de la deuxième victoire des Red Sox lors de leurs sept derniers matchs. De leur côté, les Mets traversent une mauvaise passe offensive, avec désormais cinq matchs consécutifs sans frapper de home run, et quatre défaites sur les cinq derniers affrontements.<\/p>

Boston reste deuxième de la division Est de la Ligue américaine, avec un bilan de 24 victoires pour 25 défaites. Les Mets chutent à la deuxième place de la division Est de la Ligue nationale, avec 29 victoires et 19 défaites, à une demi-victoire des Philadelphia Phillies.<\/p>

Dans le match de ce lundi, Jarren Duran a brillé avec un double et un triple, inscrivant un point et en produisant un autre.<\/p>

Chez les Mets, le haut de l’alignement a encore une fois peiné. Juan Soto a frappé un simple, qui aurait normalement dû être un double. La star de l’équipe a mis du temps à courir, pensant avoir frappé un home run, et a dû s’arrêter à la première base.<\/p>

Après le match, l’entraîneur Carlos Mendoza a déclaré qu’il discuterait de cette action avec son joueur.<\/p>

Sur le monticule, Hunter Dobbins était le lanceur partant des Red Sox. Il a lancé pendant 4.2 manches, concédant cinq coups sûrs, un point, un but sur balles et deux retraits sur prises.<\/p>

Pour les Mets, le Japonais Kodai Senga a lancé pendant six manches, accordant cinq coups sûrs, trois points, trois buts sur balles et réalisant cinq retraits sur prises.<\/p>

Les deux équipes se retrouvent ce mardi.<\/p>

Red Sox-Mets : Le match<\/strong><\/h2>

Les Red Sox ont frappé fort dès le début, inscrivant trois points dans les deux premières manches.<\/p>

Duran et Rafael Devers sont arrivés sur base avec un double et un but sur balles, respectivement, avant d’avancer chacun d’une base sur un lancer sauvage de Senga. Alex Bregman a été retiré sur une balle au sol, mais Duran a marqué le premier point. Dans la foulée, Trevor Story a frappé un simple, permettant à Devers de faire grimper le score à 2-0.<\/p>

Dans la manche suivante, Carlos Narvaez a obtenu un but sur balles. Duran s’est encore illustré avec un triple, portant la marque à 3-0.<\/p>

Les Mets ont tenté une réaction en troisième manche. Francisco Álvarez a frappé un double et a marqué un point sur un simple de Tyrone Taylor : 3-1.<\/p>

L’équipe du Queens a ensuite manqué une belle occasion d’inscrire davantage de points. Lindor a obtenu un but sur balles, plaçant Taylor en deuxième base. Mais Soto a frappé dans un double jeu, mettant fin à la manche et douchant les espoirs des fans new-yorkais.<\/p>

Même sans autre point marqué, la partie est restée animée. Pendant trois manches consécutives, les Mets ont placé deux coureurs sur base sans réussir à capitaliser.<\/p>

Le bullpen des Red Sox a été excellent. Justin Wilson, Greg Weissert, Justin Slaten et Aroldis Chapman ont lancé un total de 3.1 manches, ne concédant que trois coups sûrs et deux buts sur balles, sans encaisser de point. Le closer cubain a décroché son septième sauvetage de la saison.<\/p>
