Courtland Sutton, le receveur talentueux des Denver Broncos, est il en passe de signer un nouveau contrat qui le rapprocherait d’une carrière complète sous le maillot de la franchise d’AFC Ouest<\/a>? Tout semble l’indiquer! Alors que le receveur avait signé en 2021 un contrat de 4 ans, qui fut ensuite renégocié la saison dernière, il semblerait que les négociations pour offrir un nouveau contrat plus long, et surtout plus lucratif, à Sutton soient en bonne voie pour aboutir.<\/p>

Un optimisme sur un accord prochain qui semble d’ailleurs gagner les deux parties actuellement en discussions. Ce week-end, Courtland Sutton ne s’est pas montré inquiet concernant son contrat lorsqu’il s’est confié au journaliste du Denver Post<\/a>, Parker Gabriel:<\/p>

« Mon équipe a de très bonnes discussions avec le front office des Broncos. Les choses avancent donc naturellement dans la bonne direction. Je suis très ouvert à la discussion. Et je suis très optimiste sur le fait de signer un nouveau contrat et sur le fait de pouvoir rester un joueur des Broncos pour le reste de ma carrière » a confié Courtland Sutton.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>

Un optimisme qui semble également largement partagé par le manager général de la franchise, George Patton, qui disait déjà au mois de février:<\/p>

« Courtland Sutton est l’un de nos joueurs! Un vrai capitaine d’équipe. Cela fait déjà plusieurs années de suite que je le dis. Nous voulons qu’il reste avec nous le plus longtemps possible. »<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>

Après une saison 2024 particulièrement réussi avec 1 081 yards, 8 touchdowns et un record de 81 réceptions sur la saison, Courtland Sutton ne semble donc pas décider à partir loin de Denver. Un choix qui se comprend au regard de la marge de progression dont dispose encore cet effectif dans les années à venir. Le meilleur est peut-être encore devant le receveur de 29 ans.<\/p>
