Ce mercredi soir, les New York Knicks<\/strong> se déplacent dans l’Ohio pour défier les Cleveland Cavaliers<\/strong>, leaders de la Conférence Est. Le coup d’envoi est prévu à 01h (heure de <\/strong>Paris, à la Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse<\/strong>.<\/p>

Deux équipes ambitieuses, deux trajectoires bien différentes à l’approche des playoffs, et surtout un duel qui pourrait peser lourd dans le classement final.<\/p>

Des Knicks accrocheurs, mais bien diminués<\/strong><\/h2>

New York arrive à Cleveland sur une bonne dynamique, avec trois victoires consécutives<\/strong>, dont une belle performance hier soir contre les Sixers (105-91). OG Anunoby<\/strong> a montré la voie avec 27 points, pendant que Mitchell Robinson<\/strong> s’est offert un double-double plein d’autorité (14 points, 14 rebonds).<\/p>

Mais voilà : les Knicks enchaînent avec un deuxième match en deux soirs — et ça, ça pèse. D’autant que cette saison, les back-to-backs ne leur réussissent pas trop (seulement 2 victoires en 12 matchs dans ces conditions). Et comme si ça ne suffisait pas, l’infirmerie est bien remplie…<\/p>

L’infirmerie new-yorkaise ne désemplit pas<\/strong><\/h2>

C’est officiel : Jalen Brunson<\/strong>, le moteur offensif de l’équipe, est forfait (cheville). Et l’incertitude plane autour de Karl-Anthony Towns<\/strong> (genou), Cameron Payne<\/strong> (cheville) et Miles McBride<\/strong> (aine), tous incertains pour ce soir. Le jeune Ariel Hukporti<\/strong> est également absent.<\/p>

En face, Cleveland<\/strong> fait le plein de forces vives : seuls Ty Jerome<\/strong> et Luke Travers<\/strong> (actuellement en G League) manqueront à l’appel. Autant dire que les Cavs abordent ce duel dans des conditions bien plus favorables.<\/p>

Cleveland, solide leader et en pleine confiance<\/strong><\/h2>

Les Cavaliers (60-15)<\/strong> déroulent une saison impressionnante. Quatre victoires sur leurs cinq derniers matchs, une attaque en pleine forme, et un dernier succès face aux Clippers (127-122) où Jarrett Allen<\/strong> a encore été énorme (25 points, 12 rebonds).<\/p>

Mais surtout, Cleveland est quasiment imprenable à domicile cette saison : 31 victoires pour seulement 5 défaites<\/strong> dans son antre. Ajoutez à ça deux jours de repos… et vous avez une équipe redoutable, prête à faire respecter sa loi à la maison.<\/p>

Pronostics NBA pour Knicks-Cavaliers<\/h2>

Prono n°1 – Darius Garland à plus de 19,5 points – Cote 1,80 <\/strong><\/p>

Garland est un meneur très polyvalent, capable de marquer de toutes les façons. La défense des Knicks est la troisième de la NBA à concéder le plus de points aux meneurs, ce qui place le numéro 10 dans une excellente position. <\/p>

Prono n°2 – Jarrett Allen à plus de 9,5 rebonds – Cote 1,90 <\/strong><\/p>

Allen devrait alterner avec Evan Mobley pour défendre sur Karl-Anthony Towns, et on mise sur une nouvelle performance dominante aux rebonds du numéro 31. Sur l’ensemble de la saison, il dépasse cette marque dans 53 % des rencontres, mais à domicile, ce chiffre grimpe à 56 %.<\/p>
