Les Cincinnati Bengals se séparent du joueur de ligne défensive Sheldon Rankins<\/a>, après une courte saison au sein de l’Ohio. Le vétéran de 30 ans est arrivé à Cincinnati lors de la dernière intersaison, en signant un contrat de deux ans, avec comme lourde tâche de remplacer D.J. Reader.<\/p>

Il est clair pour les Bengals que Sheldon Rankins n’a pas su combler l’absence de Reader, loin de là. L’ancien des Texans a joué seulement sept matchs sous le maillot des Bengals et n’a engendré que 18 plaquages pour un seul petit sack.<\/p>

Rankins a été absent un certain temps et a terminé la saison 2024 sur la liste des maladies non liées au football, sans savoir ce que celui-ci avait pour ne pas jouer au football. <\/p>

C’est une bonne opération pour les Bengals qui viennent donc libérer 9.62 millions de dollars sur leur cap salarial. Libérer Jenkins pourra permettre à la franchise de se concentrer sur leurs trois prolongations en attente<\/a>, à savoir celles de l’incontournable Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins et Trey Hendrickson. Cela pourrait également permettre à Cincinnati d’avoir plus de marge de manœuvre en mars, lors de la free agency.<\/p>
