Six mois après une opération du dos qui a mis fin prématurément à sa saison 2024, Christian Yelich a rejoint le camp d’entraînement ce samedi 15 février et a déclaré qu’il serait prêt pour le jour d’ouverture 2025. <\/p>

Les Milwaukee Brewers débuteront leur saison le 27 mars contre les New York Yankees au Yankee Stadium.<\/p>

« J’ai vu avant de venir ici qu’il y avait des doutes quant à ma présence pour le jour d’ouverture, et je ne sais pas d’où cela vient. À moins qu’un événement imprévu ne survienne, je ne vois pas pourquoi je ne serais pas prêt », a affirmé l’outfielder, MVP de la Ligue nationale en 2018.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>

La saison dernière, Yelich affichait une moyenne au bâton de 31,5 %, avec 11 home runs, 42 points produits et 21 bases volées en 73 matchs, avant que sa blessure au dos ne mette fin à sa saison en juillet. Il a subi une intervention chirurgicale en août, après que les tentatives de rééducation initiales n’ont pas abouti. En janvier, Yelich a repris les séances de frappe sans ressentir de douleur et est confiant quant à sa pleine capacité défensive.<\/p>

À 33 ans, Yelich entame sa huitième saison avec les Brewers et vise à aider l’équipe à remporter un troisième titre consécutif de la division Centrale de la Ligue nationale et à décrocher une septième participation aux séries éliminatoires en huit ans.<\/p>
