NFL – L’entraîneur des Minnesota Vikings, Kevin O’Connell, a ouvert la porte à une future prolongation de contrat.<\/h2>

La belle histoire entre Kevin O’Connell et les Minnesota Vikings ne semble pas prête de s’arrêter tout de suite. Alors que l’entraîneur principal a conduit les Vikings jusqu’en playoffs pour la deuxième fois en trois ans passés sur le banc, O’Connell se dit prêt à discuter avec les propriétaires de la franchise afin de trouver une entente en vue d’une prolongation de contrat dès cette intersaison. Tout cela malgré les rumeurs insistantes selon lesquelles d’autres équipes voudraient enrôler O’Connell via un trade:<\/p>

« Je ne m’occupe pas des rumeurs et des spéculations » a affirmé Kevin O’Connell à ESPN<\/a>. « Tout ce que je sais, c’est que j’ai envie d’être ici et j’ai envie de rester ici. Si la question est de savoir si je veux prolonger ici la réponse est simple: Oui! »<\/p><\/blockquote>

Il faut dire que Kevin O’Connell engrange de nombreux succès depuis qu’il fut placé à la tête des Minnesota Vikings avant la saison 2022. Sur les trois saisons disputées par les Vikings sous le commandement de l’entraîneur de 39 ans, la franchise du Minnesota possède un bilan de 34 victoires pour 17 défaites dont deux saisons avec au moins 13 victoires en saison régulière! Seul point noir au tableau, le manque de victoires en playoffs avec deux défaites et toujours aucune victoire depuis la prise en main de l’équipe par O’Connell.<\/p>

Une statistique qui ne semble pas refroidir les dirigeants des Minnesota Vikings. Fermés à l’idée de proposer une prolongation de contrat à leur entraîneur au bout de seulement 2 ans sur les 4 que comptent le contrat d’O’Connell, les propriétaires de la franchise devraient être intéressés par une prolongation de l’entraîneur après l’excellente campagne 2024 qui a conduit les Vikings jusqu’en playoffs sous la houlette d’un Sam Darnold retrouvé!<\/p>

Favori pour le titre d’entraîneur de la saison 2024<\/a>, Kevin O’Connell pourrait encore faire des coups d’éclats sur les prochaines saisons avec les Vikings! Affaire à suivre ce printemps…<\/p>
