Alors que les Jacksonville Jaguars sont à la recherche d’un nouvel entraîneur-chef après le licenciement de Doug Pederson, le quarterback de la franchise, Trevor Lawrence, a clairement exprimé ses préférences.<\/strong><\/p>

Trevor Lawrence souhaite un entraîneur jeune, avec une mentalité offensive, capable de renouveler le système de l’équipe et de poser les bases d’un succès durable.<\/p>

« Évidemment, je suis biaisé en tant que joueur offensif », a déclaré Trevor Lawrence<\/a>, selon la journaliste des Jaguars, Dianna Stevens. « J’adorerais avoir un jeune entraîneur offensif qui puisse adapter notre système et nous permettre de le développer sur plusieurs années. »<\/p>

La recherche d’un nouvel entraîneur bat son plein<\/b><\/b><\/h2>

Les Jaguars ont déjà commencé à interviewer plusieurs candidats pour le poste d’entraîneur-chef. Parmi les favoris, on retrouve Ben Johnson, le coordinateur offensif des Detroit Lions, qui a attiré beaucoup d’attention. L’équipe a également rencontré deux spécialistes défensifs : Aaron Glenn, coordinateur défensif des Lions, et Robert Saleh<\/strong><\/a>, ancien entraîneur des Jets.<\/p>

En parallèle, Jacksonville a exprimé son intérêt pour d’autres coordinateurs offensifs, notamment Liam Coen (Buccaneers), Kellen Moore (Eagles) et Joe Brady (Bills). Bien que ces entretiens n’aient pas encore été programmés, il est attendu que les Jaguars privilégient l’embauche d’un entraîneur avec une mentalité offensive. Cette stratégie semble nécessaire, puisque l’équipe a terminé 25e sur 32 en termes de yards par match lors de la saison 2024.<\/p>

La force et la résilience, des priorités<\/b><\/b><\/h2>

Au-delà des innovations offensives, Lawrence a souligné l’importance d’un entraîneur capable de redonner de la « force et de la résilience » à l’équipe. « J’ai quelques opinions sur ce processus, mais je ne veux pas aller trop loin et dépasser mon rôle », a expliqué Lawrence. « Ce sont des discussions que j’aurai avec [le propriétaire] Shad Khan et [le manager général] Trent Baalke. »<\/p>

Alors que la recherche continue, tous les regards sont tournés vers l’organisation des Jaguars pour prendre une décision qui correspond à la vision de Lawrence d’un avenir compétitif et durable.<\/p>
