NFL – L’entraîneur principal des Pittsburgh Steelers, Mike Tomlin, va connaître sa 18e saison sans bilan négatif consécutive en tant que coach.<\/h2>

Parfois, en NFL, certaines performances deviennent tellement habituelles qu’elles semblent faire partie du décor classique d’une saison de football américain: les saisons positives de Mike Tomlin avec les Pittsburgh Steelers font partie de cette catégorie. Mais cela ne devrait pas être le cas! Car en cette saison 2024, qui marque donc la 18e saison consécutive sans bilan négatif pour les Pittsburgh Steelers et Mike Tomlin<\/a>, l’entraîneur de la franchise de Pennsylvanie réalise en fait un véritable exploit.<\/p>

Grâce à la victoire de ses hommes sur le terrain des Cincinnati Bengals (44-38), Mike Tomlin a donc sécurisé sa 18e saison consécutive sans bilan négatif en 18 saisons passées sur le bord de touche des Steelers. L’entraîneur de 52 ans prouve donc une nousa régularité pour conduire son équipe au plus haut niveau. Malgré une division présentée comme relevée avant le début de l’année, Tomlin a réussi à construire un effectif cohérent avec deux nouveaux quarterbacks pour se positionner, à l’heure actuelle, en tête de la division AFC Nord.<\/p>

En plus de cette 18e saison sans bilan négatif, Mike Tomlin a aussi conduit la franchise entière des Pittsburgh Steelers a un record NFL puisque les Steelers viennent de connaître leur 21e saison sans bilan négatif! Il faut remonter à la saison 2003 pour voir Pittsburgh avec un bilan de 6 victoires et 10 défaites<\/a>. Avec cette 21e saison consécutive sans bilan négatif, les Steelers égalent le record des Dallas Cowboys qui avaient réussi pareille performance entre les années 1965 et 1985. Avant de les dépasser la saison prochaine?<\/p>

Mike Tomlin vient de marquer ce dimanche encore un peu plus l’histoire de son sport. Paradoxalement, l’entraîneur principal des Steelers n’a jamais reçu le titre d’entraîneur de l’année dans toute sa carrière. Mais il restera toujours dans les mémoires de ceux qui ont vécu la NFL des années 2000 et dans les livres des records de son sport. Et cela vaut sans doute bien tous les trophées du monde.<\/p>
