La NBA Cup 2025 débute ce mardi soir. Voici son fonctionnement.<\/strong><\/p>

Inspirée des coupes nationales du football européen, la NBA a introduit la NBA Cup pour dynamiser la saison régulière et créer un événement attractif.<\/p>

Pourquoi la NBA Cup ?<\/h3>

Entre le début de la saison fin octobre et le All-Star Game en février, la ligue connaît souvent une période de routine.<\/p>

Le commissaire Adam Silver a donc souhaité insuffler une nouvelle dynamique en début de saison et générer des revenus supplémentaires grâce à un tournoi final à Las Vegas. La participation de joueurs emblématiques, comme LeBron James<\/strong><\/a> l’année dernière, ajoute une motivation supplémentaire pour les athlètes désireux d’enrichir leur palmarès.<\/p>

La NBA Cup 2025 vise à donner plus d’importance aux confrontations de saison régulière pour le public, les médias et les joueurs. Les équipes sont réparties en six groupes de cinq, trois dans la Conférence Est et trois dans la Conférence Ouest.<\/p>

Comment fonctionne la NBA Cup ?<\/h2>

Les groupes de la NBA Cup 2025 sont les suivants :<\/p>

•Groupe A<\/b> : Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Portland Trail Blazers, Sacramento Kings.<\/p>

En raison de la composition des groupes et du niveau compétitif de la Conférence Ouest en ce début de saison, il est difficile de désigner un favori clair pour le dernier ticket. Les Phoenix Suns et les Sacramento Kings sont des prétendants potentiels.<\/p>

Le fonctionnement:<\/h3>

Les confrontations directes entre équipes du même groupe comptent à la fois pour la NBA Cup 2025 et pour la saison régulière. Les vainqueurs de chaque groupe, ainsi que les deux meilleurs deuxièmes, se retrouveront début décembre pour un tournoi à élimination directe à Las Vegas.<\/p>

Cette année, le tournoi final passe de quatre à huit équipes. Le vainqueur remporte un titre, et les joueurs bénéficient de primes significatives, particulièrement avantageuses pour ceux aux salaires plus modestes.<\/p>

Pour éviter une surcharge du calendrier et limiter les risques de blessures des joueurs stars, la saison régulière est réduite de 82 à 80 matchs.<\/p>
