WNBA<\/a> – La saison régulière est bientôt terminée et les équipes se qualifiant pour les playoffs se dévoilent petit à petit. La nuit dernière, c’est le Fever qui a décroché son ticket pour la suite des hostilités.<\/h2>

Huit ans.<\/p>

Voilà la période de disette sans playoffs pour les fans du Fever, dans cet état du Texas amoureux du basketball.<\/p>

Mais cette longue traversée du désert s’est achevée la nuit dernière, alors même que les coéquipières de Caitlin Clark n’ont pas joué. En effet, avec les défaites cumulées du Sky de Chicago et du Dream d’Atlanta, deux équipes contre qui le Fever détient le « tie-breaker<\/em>« , la franchise d’Indianapolis valide donc sa place pour les playoffs.<\/p>

Compte X de la WNBA.<\/em><\/p><\/div>\n<\/p>

 <\/p>

Cette période d’absence des playoffs WNBA correspond à la plus longue de l’histoire de la ligue. Avant le Fever, le Chicago Sky avait raté les playoffs lors de ses sept premières saisons dans la ligue.<\/p>

La dernière fois qu’Indiana a participé aux séries éliminatoires, c’était en 2016, et l’équipe fut éliminée au premier tour.<\/p>

Encore une seule place en playoffs à décrocher.<\/strong><\/h3>

Le Fever devient la sixième équipe à décrocher une place en playoffs cette saison, rejoignant le New York Liberty, le Connecticut Sun, le Minnesota Lynx, le Seattle Storm et les Aces de Las Vegas.<\/p>

Au cours de cette nuit, le Mercury a également décroché son ticket en playoffs grâce à leur victoire à domicile (contre Atlanta) et à la défaite de Chicago à Las Vegas .<\/p>

Il reste donc une seule place pour les playoffs, qui débuteront le 22 septembre, avec un premier tour au meilleur des trois matchs.<\/p>
