Trey Lance a fait ses débuts avec les Dallas Cowboys dimanche, un an après avoir été échangé par les San Francisco 49ers, et n’a pas manquer d’impressionner Mike McCarthy. <\/span><\/h2>

Choisi en troisième position lors de la draft 2021, Trey Lance a complété 25 de ses 41 passes pour un total de 188 yards, sans touchdown ni interception. Il a également couru pour 44 yards en six tentatives, tout en étant plaqué trois fois.<\/span><\/p>

Malgré la défaite 13-12 contre les Los Angeles Rams, l’entraîneur des Cowboys, Mike McCarthy, a exprimé une grande satisfaction quant à la performance de Trey Lance. <\/span><\/p>

« J’ai vraiment aimé son attitude aux commandes », a déclaré McCarthy, selon Todd Archer<\/a> d’ESPN.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>

Il a ajouté que les décisions prises lors des situations critiques, comme les quatrièmes tentatives, porteront leurs fruits à l’avenir. McCarthy a également souligné que Trey Lance « faisait de bons progrès ».<\/span><\/p>

« J’essaie de maximiser chaque moment avec lui, » a expliqué McCarthy. « Vous voulez le voir diriger l’attaque à un haut niveau. Le travail des pieds et certains concepts que nous lui demandons d’assimiler sont nouveaux. Nous avons juste besoin de travail, de temps. Mais il est sur la bonne voie, c’est un excellent athlète.»<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>

\n<\/span>Bien que Trey Lance n’ait pas réussi à marquer de touchdown, il a conduit les Cowboys à plusieurs reprises en position favorable pour des field goals. Le talent de Lance est indéniable, mais il doit encore se développer pour atteindre son plein potentiel.<\/span><\/p>

Cette saison, Lance continuera à progresser tout en jouant derrière le quarterback titulaire Dak Prescott<\/a>. Il est encore en compétition avec Cooper Rush pour le poste de remplaçant principal, mais sa performance de dimanche semble avoir impressionné McCarthy.<\/span><\/p>

Si Trey Lance parvient à enchaîner les bonnes performances en pré-saison, il pourrait bien sécuriser sa place de deuxième quarterback lorsque la saison régulière débutera.<\/span><\/p>
