L’équipe masculine de australienne a lancé sa campagne olympique avec une victoire décisive sur l’Espagne, s’imposant 92-80 lors de leur premier match de phase de groupes aux Jeux Olympiques de Paris 2024.<\/h2>

Le match, qui s’est tenu au stade Pierre Mauroy à Lille, a vu une performance impressionnante de la part des Australiens.<\/p>

L’une des performances les plus remarquables est venue de Jock Landale<\/strong><\/a>, le joueur des Rockets de Houston, qui a mené le match avec 28 points. Landale a été essentiel tant en attaque qu’en défense.<\/p>

Josh Giddey a également eu un impact significatif sur cette rencontre avec ses 17 points.<\/p>

Du côté espagnol, Santi Aldama a été le meilleur joueur, avec 26 points. Malgré les efforts d’Aldama, l’Espagne a eu du mal à suivre le rythme de l’attaque équilibrée de l’Australie et de leur intensité défensive.<\/p>

L’Australie a donné le ton dès le début, prenant une avance de 31-21 à la fin du premier quart-temps. L’Espagne a réussi à réduire l’écart légèrement dans le deuxième quart-temps, mais les Australiens ont maintenu leur avance, concluant la première mi-temps avec un score de 49-42.<\/p>

Le troisième quart-temps a vu une bonne séquence des espagnols pour revenir au score sans jamais pouvoir prendre les devants, mais l’Australie s’est détachée dans le dernier quart-temps, surpassant l’Espagne 23-20 pour sceller la victoire.<\/p>

La précision au tir de l’Australie a été un facteur clé dans leur victoire. Ils ont tiré à 50,8 % de réussite et à 50 % au-delà de l’arc, contre 39,1 % de réussite au tir et 32,4 % à trois points pour l’Espagne.<\/p>

Pour la suite, l’Australie affrontera le Canada et la Grèce dans ses prochains matchs de phase de groupes. Étant donné leur bon départ, les Boomers sont bien positionnés pour avancer vers les phases à élimination directe, où ils viseront à faire mieux que leur médaille de bronze obtenue à Tokyo 2021.<\/p>

Pour l’Espagne, le prochain match face à la Grèce mardi sera déjà décisif.<\/p>
