Alvin Kamara s’est bien présenté au camp de pré-saison, bien qu’il n’ait toujours pas reçu le contrat qu’il espère.<\/h2>

Certains joueurs qui espèrent obtenir un nouveau contrat avec leur franchise se permettent de rater des jours d’entraînement durant le camp de pré-saison. Ils espèrent ainsi que ces absences mettront la pression sur leur équipe pour que cette dernière cède.<\/p>

Cependant, cette façon de faire n’est pas du tout celle d’Alvin Kamara<\/a>.<\/p>

Le respect des Saints<\/h3>

Bien qu’il ait quitté le camp obligatoire en juin dernier car les négociations n’avançaient pas assez vite à son goût, Alvin Kamara ne compte pas refaire la même chose durant le camp de pré-saison.<\/p>

Bien qu’il cherche toujours à obtenir un nouveau contrat, le running back veut rester respectueux de ses coéquipiers.<\/p>

« J’essaie d’obtenir de l’argent, n’est-ce pas ? J’allais être ici. Ce n’est pas quelqu’un qui porte un maillot, je ne blâmerais même pas les entraîneurs [pour] ce qui se passe avec les problèmes de contrat en ce moment. Cela se produit dans toute la ligue. C’est arrivé ici. C’est arrivé partout. Les gens essaient d’obtenir des contrats, essaient d’être payés.<\/p>\n

Je serais fou de contrarier mes coéquipiers à cause d’un conflit que j’ai avec l’étage supérieur. Je n’appellerais même pas cela un conflit. Nous avons juste des conversations sur la rémunération. … Je ne suis pas ce type. Je suis pour l’équipe. Donc je suis ici, je fais ce que j’ai à faire. Je travaille. », déclare-t-il, rapporte NFL.com<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>

Alvin Kamara a ensuite tenu à rappeler qu’il ne veut pas changer de franchise mais bien rester avec les Saints, réaffirmant clairement son amour pour la franchise de la Nouvelle-Orléans.<\/p>

« Je l’ai déjà dit : je veux être un Saint. Vous voyez ce que je veux dire ? Je veux prendre ma retraite ici. Si je dois jouer au football ailleurs, je serai probablement quelque part en Afrique, ou quelque chose comme ça. »<\/p><\/blockquote>

Le joueur de 29 ans a parcouru 694 yards et inscrit 5 touchdowns la saison passée en 13 matchs. Depuis son arrivée aux Saints et en NFL en 2017, il n’a jamais dépassé les 1 000 yards à la course, mais il reste considéré comme le franchise player des Saints.<\/p>

Les deux parties devraient donc trouver un accord avant le début de la saison…<\/p>
