Le cornerback recrue des Eagles, Cooper DeJean, sera mis à l’écart pendant trois semaines en raison d’une blessure aux ischio-jambiers.<\/span><\/h2>

Jeremy Fowler<\/a> d’ESPN a déclaré mardi que DeJean, choisi 40ème de la draft , s’est blessé en se trouvant dans une position difficile lors d’un entraînement de préparation. Il commencera le camp d’entraînement sur la liste des blessures non liées au football (NFI), mais les Eagles sont optimistes quant à son rétablissement rapide et s’attendent à ce qu’il contribue comme prévu cette saison.<\/span><\/p>

Cette blessure n’est pas liée à une précédente en novembre, DeJean s’était fracturé le péroné lors d’une pratique avec l’Iowa et avait subi une intervention chirurgicale. Après plusieurs mois de rééducation, il avait participé à une journée professionnelle en avril et couru les 40 verges en 4,43 secondes. DeJean était prévu pour être choisi au premier tour, mais après sa chute, les Eagles ont repoussé au deuxième tour pour le sélectionner.<\/span><\/p>

Première équipe All-American  <\/span>et Big Ten Defensive Back of the Year en 2023, Cooper DeJean a enregistré 7 interceptions et 13 passes repoussées lors des deux dernières saisons pour l’Iowa, tout en ayant un impact comme retourneur. Sa polyvalence a été mise en avant ce printemps alors qu’il jouait à la fois au poste de corner extérieur et de nickel pour les Eagles durant leur programme d’entraînement hors saison.<\/span><\/p>

Philadelphie a également repêché le corner Quinyon Mitchell<\/a> au premier tour pour renforcer une défense secondaire qui avait terminé 31e en termes de yards de passe et de touchdowns de passe accordés en 2023.
