Kristaps Porzingis, l’intérieur des Boston Celtics, a subi une blessure rare lors de la victoire de dimanche contre les Mavericks lors du deuxième match des finales NBA. <\/a><\/h2>\n

Le joueur a quitté le terrain tard dans le troisième quart-temps et l’équipe a annoncé mardi qu’il souffrait d’une déchirure du rétinaculum médial, permettant la dislocation du tendon tibial postérieur.<\/p>\n

Les Celtics ont qualifié cette blessure de « rare » dans un communiqué et ont indiqué que Kristaps Porzingis<\/a> est au jour le jour.<\/p>\n

Cette blessure à la jambe gauche inférieure est indépendante de la tension qu’il a subie au mollet droit plus tôt dans les séries éliminatoires.<\/p>\n

Le rétinaculum médial est un tissu qui aide à maintenir les tendons en place, y compris le tendon tibial postérieur, lequel attache le muscle tibial postérieur – un petit muscle de la jambe inférieure qui aide à contrôler la cheville et le pied – aux os du pied.<\/p>\n

Dr. Brian Sutterer<\/strong> a expliqué sur Twitter : « Le rétinaculum médial est comme une ceinture de sécurité qui maintient les tendons en place alors qu’ils se déplacent autour de l’os de la cheville. Il y a trois tendons qui longent l’intérieur de la cheville, et cette ceinture de sécurité les garde en place. »<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Kristaps Porzingis a quitté le match 2 après avoir semblé se tordre la jambe gauche et on pouvait le voir essayer d’étirer son mollet gauche avec une bande de résistance. Il est cependant revenu jouer pendant quatre minutes supplémentaires dans le quatrième quart-temps.<\/p>\n

L’entraîneur des Celtics, Joe Mazzulla, a déclaré mardi : « Il fait tout ce qu’il peut pour jouer demain. C’est une blessure sérieuse. À la fin de la journée, l’équipe médicale ne va pas le mettre dans une mauvaise situation. Nous avons pris la décision de jouer en dehors de ses mains. »<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Kristaps Porzingis a déjà manqué 11 matchs en séries éliminatoires à cause de sa blessure initiale au mollet.<\/p>\n

L’incertitude plane sur sa participation au troisième match des finales NBA, et son absence pourrait représenter un défi important pour les Celtics alors qu’ils continuent leur quête du titre.<\/p>\n
