Anthony Volpe prolonge sa série de coups sûrs <\/strong><\/h2>

Anthony Volpe, le jeune arrêt-court des Yankees de New York, continue d’impressionner en cette saison 2024.<\/p>

Avec une série de 21 matchs consécutifs avec au moins un coup sûr, Volpe se rapproche des records établis par l’une des légendes des Yankees, confirmant ainsi son statut de prodige dans les ligues majeures.<\/p>

Premier coup de fusil, le 22 mai, Anthony Volpe a atteint un nouveau sommet en égalant la plus longue série de matchs consécutifs avec au moins un coup sûr des Yankees depuis 2012 détenu par par Robinson Cano.<\/p>

Au passage il est également devenu le plus jeune joueur à dépasser la série de coups sûrs de Melky Cabrera de 2007.<\/p>

Hier, le 23 mai, lors du second match de la série contre les Los Angeles Angels, Anthony Volpe<\/strong><\/a> a commencé la partie par un Hit au centre, portant sa série de coups sûrs à 21 matchs.<\/p>

Cette performance le place à un seul match de la plus longue série de coups sûrs par un joueur de 23 ans ou moins dans l’histoire des Yankees, détenue par Joe DiMaggio en 1937 avec 22 matchs.<\/p>

    Anthony Volpe a maintenant la possibilité d’égaler, voire de dépasser, le record de DiMaggio, ce qui le placerait parmi les plus grands noms de l’histoire des Yankees. Si sa série atteint 25 matchs, il rejoindra Babe Ruth et Derek Jeter, d’autres légendes des Yankees.<\/p>

    Pour rappel, le record de la plus longue série de matchs consécutifs avec au moins un hit (coup sûr) est détenu par la légende Joe DiMaggio, 56 matchs consécutifs en 1941. Ce record est considéré comme l’un des plus impressionnants et des plus difficiles à battre dans l’histoire du baseball.<\/p>

    Un pas vers la légende<\/strong><\/h3>

    Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Mickey Mantle et Derek Jeter… Ces joueurs ne sont pas seulement des icônes des Yankees, mais aussi des figures emblématiques du baseball mondial.
    \nJeter, en particulier, est souvent cité comme un modèle pour les jeunes joueurs des yankees, et Anthony Volpe semble suivre ses traces et les comparaisons vont sans doute arriver tôt ou tard.<\/p>

    Une Saison Impressionnante<\/strong><\/h3>

    En 55 matchs cette saison, Volpe affiche une moyenne au bâton de .285, avec un OBP de .356 et un OPS de .434. Il a également réussi six home runs et volé 11 bases. Ses performances contribuent grandement aux succès actuels des Yankees, en tête de la division Est de la Ligue Américaine avec un bilan de 37-19.<\/p>

    Le Soutien des Coéquipiers<\/strong><\/h3>

    Ses coéquipiers, notamment Aaron Judge, n’hésitent pas à louer ses qualités. Judge a déclaré<\/a> :<\/p>

    « Ce que Volpe fait en tant que premier frappeur est incroyable. C’est amusant à regarder. Il s’améliore encore. »<\/p><\/blockquote>

    Volpe, quant à lui, attribue son succès à la pression mise sur les lanceurs par la présence de stars comme Juan Soto, Aaron Judge et Giancarlo Stanton dans l’alignement.<\/p>
