Les béquilles sont parties, mais cela ne signifie pas que Chris Finch est de retour à 100%. Loin de là.<\/a><\/h2>

L’entraîneur des Minnesota Timberwolves, dont le genou droit a été blessé par Mike Conley lors de leur collision en première manche, est resté en retrait sur le banc pendant toute la campagne historique des playoffs de son équipe.<\/p>

Comparé à une voiture lente sur une autoroute à une voie, Finch fait de son mieux pour éviter la circulation intense tout en dirigeant son équipe dans cet état affaibli.<\/p>

Cependant, Chris Finch a montré son énergie et sa détermination lorsqu’il a envahi le terrain au milieu du troisième quart-temps pour exprimer sa frustration envers les arbitres lors de la victoire 105-100 des Timberwolves contre les Dallas Mavericks dans le Game 4 des finales de la Conférence Ouest à l’American Airlines Center.<\/p>

Ce moment a marqué son premier avertissement technique depuis sa blessure, démontrant à quel point les temps désespérés appellent des mesures désespérées.<\/p>

Karl-Anthony Towns venait d’être sanctionné pour une cinquième faute, menaçant sa soirée de rédemption. Chris Finch, malgré les conseils du personnel médical de rester à l’écart du terrain pour sa sécurité, a décidé qu’il en avait assez vu.<\/p>

Il a alors pris le contrôle des discussions d’équipe, un rôle qu’il avait délégué à l’entraîneur adjoint Micah Nori depuis sa blessure. « Mon rôle était d’injecter de l’émotion dans le jeu, » a expliqué Finch aux journalistes.<\/p>

Lorsqu’il a été interrogé après la conférence de presse, Finch a expliqué que la réalité tout ou rien de ce moment pour le Minnesota était la raison de son intervention. « Je voulais m’assurer que l’équipe allait se battre, et je me battrai pour eux, » a-t-il déclaré.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>

Finch a également critiqué les arbitres pour leur gestion de la série, et il était déterminé à éviter un balayage qui aurait terni cette saison spéciale pour les Timberwolves.<\/p>

Le parcours de Chris Finch jusqu’à ce point est impressionnant. Après presque trois décennies à gravir les échelons du coaching, depuis l’Angleterre jusqu’en Allemagne et en Belgique, puis à travers la NBA D-League, Finch est désormais à la tête d’une équipe prometteuse des Timberwolves.<\/p>

Et même s’il doit jongler avec la réhabilitation de sa blessure, il continue de chercher des solutions pour contrer des talents comme Luka Dončić et Kyrie Irving des Mavericks.<\/p>

La stratégie de Finch a porté ses fruits lors du Game 4, où Dončić et Irving ont été contenus par les défenses de Anthony Edwards et d’autres joueurs des Timberwolves. Edwards et Towns ont brillé, remportant pour la première fois le duel des stars de la série.<\/p>

La détermination de Chris Finch à être entendu, même diminué, a été une source d’inspiration pour ses joueurs. « Finchy, c’est notre leader, » a déclaré Mike Conley. « Le voir se battre, malgré sa blessure, a allumé un feu en nous tous. »<\/p>

La question reste de savoir si cette énergie sera suffisante pour renverser un déficit de 3-0 dans la série, une tâche que personne n’a jamais accomplie dans l’histoire de la NBA.<\/p>

Mais une chose est sûre, Chris Finch et son équipe se battront jusqu’au bout.<\/p>
