Jeremiah Estrada était intouchable hier soir lors de la victoire 4 à 0 des Padres face aux Marlins.<\/h2>

Lors de la 9è manche, Estrada a retiré sur prise les 3 frappeurs affrontés pour ses 11è, 12è et 13è retraits au bâton consécutifs de la soirée.<\/p>

C’est évidemment un record de franchise mais aussi au sein de la MLB dans l’ère de l’expansion. Avec 5 retraits de suite lundi soir face aux Yankees, et deux pour débuter hier soir, Jeremiah Estrada<\/strong><\/a> a dépassé le lanceur des Phillies José Alvarado pour le record de retraits au bâton consécutifs par un lanceur depuis 1961.<\/p>

Avec seulement 16 manches 2\/3 d’expérience en MLB, Estrada affiche des performances d’un autre temps : il a retiré 18 des 21 derniers frappeurs qu’il a affronté et possède une ERA de 0.55.<\/p>

« C’est un peu difficile à croire », a déclaré Jeremiah Estrada. « J’ai encore du mal à y croire. J’ai l’impression d’avoir fait mon travail ».<\/p><\/blockquote>

Une histoire incroyable<\/h3>

En novembre 2023, le jour de son anniversaire, Jeremiah Estrada reçoit un message lui indiquant qu’il est placé en ballotage par son ancienne équipe les Cubs.<\/p>

Il est vrai que sa saison 2023 n’avait pas été très concluante : 38 buts sur balle en 39 manches entre la MLB et la Triple-A. Mais le lendemain, les Padres l’ont réclamé. Comme si le changement d’équipe avait eu un impact sur ses performances, Jeremiah Estrada possède à présent un ration Strikeout\/but sur balle excellent de 7 pour 1.<\/p>

« Il a été capable de faire cela sans avoir de succès en Major League sur lequel s’appuyer et sans savoir à quoi cela ressemble », a déclaré Niebla<\/a>. « Pour moi, c’est la chose la plus impressionnante. Son émergence en tant que releveur de la grande ligue est en train de se produire sous nos yeux. »<\/p><\/blockquote>

Avec une carrière au bord du gouffre en novembre dernier, Estrada se révèle pour l’instant comme l’un des meilleurs releveurs de la MLB établissant des records que lui même n’aurait jamais osé imaginer.<\/p>
