NFL – Le quarterback des Colts d’Indianapolis, Anthony Richardson, ne semble pas décider à modifier son approche du jeu pour la saison prochaine.<\/h2>

Après la draft NFL 2023 qui l’avait vu être sélectionné par les Colts d’Indianapolis, le cas d’Anthony Richardson<\/a> paraissait compliqué à évaluer. Si le joueur possède évidemment des qualités indéniables pour réaliser des gros jeux spectaculaires qui pourraient ravir les fans de vidéos sur les réseaux sociaux, son adaptation au monde de la NFL posait question ce qui incitait beaucoup d’observateurs à la ranger dans la catégorie des « best or bust » (comprenez quarterback au top ou gros échec).<\/p>

Cependant, après les premiers matchs de son équipe lors de la saison 2023, Anthony Richardson a très vite rassuré. Mobile et armé d’un bon bras, il allait conduire son équipe à deux victoires et deux défaites lors des 4 matchs qu’il a disputé. Car oui, le problème de Richardson fut le nombre de blessure lors de sa première saison. Déjà touché lors du deuxième match de la saison face aux Texans, le 4e choix de la draft 2023 devra mettre un terme à sa saison au cours de la week 5 en raison d’une nouvelle blessure à l’épaule.<\/p>

Malgré des qualités indéniables, l’impact physique mis en NFL combiné au style de jeu d’Anthony Richardson peut conduire à des blessures qui pourraient venir contrarier sa carrière. Interrogé sur son éventuel adaptation, le quarterback des Colts a balayé la question<\/a>:<\/p>

« Je ne vais pas changer mon style de jeu! La blessure de la saison dernière n’est pas du au fait que je porte le ballon mais simplement dû à un plaquage de routine. J’ai essayé de bien retomber mais je suis tombé sur mon épaule. Je ne pense pas que j’aurais pu éviter ce qui m’est arrivé ».<\/p><\/blockquote>

Il n’en reste pas moins qu’Anthony Richardson de par son physique est attendu aussi sur des portées de ballon ce qui augmente mécaniquement les risques de blessures. En 2023, le numéro 5 des Colts avait lancé 3 touchdowns mais en avait marqué 4 à la course! Lors des OTA de cette semaine, l’entraîneur des Colts, Shane Steichen a rapporté que Richardson avait lancé des ballons de plus de 60 yards, preuve qu’il n’a rien perdu de son bras. Espérons donc qu’il pourra maintenant être jugé sur l’ensemble d’une saison NFL et cela dès la saison 2024.<\/p>
