Alexandre Sarr, le prospect numéro 1 de la draft 2024 a découvert son potentiel futur lors de la loterie de la draft NBA 2024.<\/a> Il rejoindrait les Atlanta Hawks.<\/h2>

« Je suis vraiment excité », a déclaré Sarr à Andscape après la loterie de la draft au McCormick Place West dimanche. « Je viens de découvrir quel est l’ordre. Cela me dit avec quelle équipe je vais m’entraîner…Les Hawks sont une organisation passionnante. Ils vont dans la bonne direction. C’est génial qu’ils aient le premier choix. »<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>

Les Hawks ont participé à la loterie de la draft NBA avec seulement 3 % de chances d’obtenir le premier choix cette année. La seule autre fois où Atlanta a obtenu le premier choix était en 1975, lorsqu’elle a sélectionné David Thompson.<\/p>

Le directeur général des Hawks, Landry Fields, a déclaré qu’il était « choqué » lorsqu’il a appris que sa franchise détenait le premier choix.<\/p>

« Vous regardez les pourcentages. Mais quand j’ai vu que ce n’était pas nous entre 10 et 12, cela nous a propulsés dans les quatre premiers. Je me suis dit : ‘D’accord. Nous avons de bonnes chances à ce sujet.' », a déclaré Fields, qui n’a pas apporté de porte-bonheur. « Un peu surprenant, mais beaucoup d’excitation. »<\/p><\/blockquote>

Il y a un an, un autre Français, Victor Wembanyama<\/a>, était le favori écrasant pour être sélectionné avec le premier choix de la draft NBA 2023. Les Spurs l’ont sélectionné avec le premier choix et il n’a pas déçu, remportant le prix de rookie de l’année NBA 2024.<\/p>

Bien qu’il n’y ait pas de consensus sur le premier choix cette fois-ci, Alexandre Sarr est actuellement projeté comme le choix numéro 1 par l’analyste de la draft NBA d’ESPN, Jonathan Givony.<\/p>

Alexandre Sarr<\/a>, 19 ans, a joué en Australie avec Perth dans la National Basketball League cette saison, où il a enregistré en moyenne 9,4 points, 0,9 passe décisive, 4,3 rebonds et 1,5 contre en 17,3 minutes par match.<\/p>

Il a attiré l’attention des recruteurs de la NBA après avoir joué deux matchs d’exhibition contre la G League Ignite à Las Vegas en septembre 2023.<\/p>

Alexandre Sarr a montré son athlétisme avec des dunks impressionnants et des contres, a bien rebondi et a bien défendu contre des joueurs beaucoup plus petits.<\/p>

« J’apporte beaucoup de polyvalence. Je peux vraiment avoir un impact. Je suis un changeur de jeu défensif », a déclaré Sarr à Andscape. Alexandre Sarr pense que sa place de prospect numéro 1 est méritée.<\/p><\/blockquote>

Il est fort probable que les Hawks rencontrent Alexandre Sarr en privé ici cette semaine lors du Draft Combine. Les Wizards de Washington, les Rockets de Houston et les Spurs de San Antonio ont respectivement les deuxième, troisième et quatrième choix et pourraient demander des visites également.<\/p>
