Trey Hendrickson a récemment demandé un trade aux Bengals, lui qui n’était pas content de sa situation salariale avec son contrat.<\/h2>

En juillet dernier, Trey Hendrickson<\/a>, edge rusher des Bengals<\/a>, a signé une prolongation de contrat avec Cincinnati, lui qui devrait toucher environ 14.8 millions de dollars cette saison. Moins d’un an après la signature de son contrat, celui-ci a demandé son trade aux Bengals en raison d’une non satisfaction de son salaire.<\/p>

Trey Hendrickson a manqué les débuts des camps volontaires d’offseason, où son coéquipier Joe Burrow a fait son grand retour<\/a>. En revanche, celui-ci est tout de même venu lors du début de la deuxième phase, commençant ce lundi.<\/p>

« C’est là qu’il est difficile de faire la part des choses entre les affaires et l’équipe », a déclaré Hendrickson<\/a> ce lundi. « A quel moment suis-je en train de contredire ce que je veux ? A long terme, gagner des matchs, toutes ces choses sont ce que je veux faire ici à Cincinnati et me retirer de l’équipe n’aide pas l’équipe. »<\/p><\/blockquote>

L’edge rusher se rend compte qu’il ne touchera pas autant que les meilleurs de la ligue à sa position, lui qui a tout de même terminé la saison 2023 à la deuxième position en termes de sacks. En 2024, 14 edge rushers vont toucher plus d’argent qu’Hendrickson, considéré parmi les meilleurs de la ligue.<\/p>

Cependant, le triple pro bowler a décidé de mettre de côté l’extra sportif et de se concentrer sur la saison à venir avec Cincinnati, lui qui joue un rôle crucial dans cette défense, du haut de ses 29 ans.<\/p>

« Je veux aider Dax Hill<\/a> à jouer cornerback. Je veux aider Germaine Pratt<\/a> et Logan Wilson<\/a> à lire les lignes de défense plus facilement. Je veux aider Joey B<\/a> à récupérer le ballon », a déclaré Hendrickson. « Ce à quoi ressemblent les Bengals de 2024 et 2025, c’est aujourd’hui la première brique. »<\/p><\/blockquote>

Après une saison 2023 décevante, surtout sur le côté défensif, ces Bengals version 2024 se sont améliorés à des positions clés pour réussir au mieux lors de cette prochaine saison.<\/p>

« Nous avons pu voir des rookies passer dans des sacs avec les vétérans. Nous nous sommes réunis en tant que défense et nous avons commencé à voir comment nous allions interagir. C’est le premier aperçu de ce que nous serons, et pour moi, ne pas être là ou laisser mes frustrations se déverser dans la salle de réunion de la défense n’est pas une bonne chose. »<\/p><\/blockquote>

Trey Hendrickson est arrivé à Cincinnati lors de la saison 2021, où les Bengals sont parvenus à aller au Super Bowl LVI, qu’ils ont perdu face aux Rams.
