Les Maple Leafs de Toronto ont annoncé aujourd’hui que Sheldon Keefe n’était plus l’entraîneur de l’équipe.<\/h2>

Après une nouvelle élimination au premier tour lors du match 7 face aux Bruins, les Maple Leafs courent toujours après un titre qui leur échappe depuis trop longtemps.<\/p>

« La décision d’aujourd’hui a été difficile à prendre. Sheldon est un excellent entraîneur et un homme formidable ; cependant, nous avons déterminé qu’une nouvelle voix était nécessaire pour aider l’équipe à aller de l’avant et à atteindre son objectif ultime. Nous remercions Sheldon pour son travail acharné et son dévouement à l’organisation au cours des neuf dernières années, et nous lui souhaitons, ainsi qu’à sa famille, le meilleur. »annonce Toronto dans un communiqué<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>

Malgré un bilan de 212-97-40 en 349 matchs de saison régulière, Sheldon Keefe n’a pas fait mieux qu’une demie finale de conférence la saison passée.<\/p>

Avec un effectif très talentueux, comprenant Auston Matthews<\/strong><\/a> ou encore William Nylander, Toronto n’a pas réussi à se hisser en finale de la Coupe Stanley, la dernière remontant à 1966-67.<\/p>
