Mark Daigneault, coach du Thunder, a récemment fait face à de nombreuses questions concernant la jeunesse de son équipe.<\/h2>

Cependant, il a souligné que la maturité était plus importante que l’âge, en déclarant :<\/p>

« L’âge n’est qu’un chiffre, et il y a une différence entre la jeunesse et la maturité ».<\/p><\/blockquote>

Il a également insisté sur le fait que l’âge ne devrait pas être un facteur décisif, car la maturité peut être présente à tout âge.<\/p>

Malgré leur jeunesse, les joueurs du Thunder d’Oklahoma City sont conscients des doutes extérieurs concernant leur vulnérabilité. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Chet Holmgren, Lu Dort, Jalen Williams ou encore Josh Giddey font partie de cette équipe de jeune, mais talentueuse, qui a réussi à obtenir la première place de la Conférence Ouest avec un bilan de 57 victoires pour 25 défaites en saison régulière.<\/p>

Avant la série, les Pelicans de la Nouvelle-Orléans n’ont pas sous-estimé le Thunder. En effet, le Thunder d’Oklahoma City les a battus aux Play-In de l’année dernière et à remporté deux des trois matchs les opposants cette saison régulière, ce qui ne portait pas bon signe pour les Pelicans.<\/p>

Brandon Ingram s’était montré honnête avant la série, en reconnaissant le défi que représentait le Thunder<\/a> :<\/p>

« Nous savons que Shai va mettre la pression toute la nuit. Nous devons être prêts pour cela ».<\/p><\/blockquote>

Le Thunder d’Oklahoma City n’a fait qu’une bouchée des Pelicans de la Nouvelle-Orléans en remportant la série 4-0, ce qui confirme les propos de Mike Dagneault par rapport à la maturité de ses joueurs.<\/p>

C’est donc la première série éliminatoire que remporte le Thunder d’Oklahoma City depuis 2016, avec Kevin Durant et Russell Westbrook.<\/p>

Durant cette série, le meneur de jeu du Thunder, Shai Gilgeous-Alexande<\/strong><\/a>r à affirmé son statut de leader offensif de son équipe en inscrivant une moyenne de 27.3 points, 6 rebonds et 5 passes décisives par match.<\/p>

Le Thunder d’Oklahoma City affrontera en demi-finale de Conférence Ouest le vainqueur de la série entre les Clippers de Los Angeles et les Mavericks de Dallas. C’est une nouvelle fois l’occasion pour le Thunder, de montrer que l’âge n’est pas un facteur décisif et de poursuivre cette belle aventure.<\/p>
