NBA – Défaits par les Pacers la nuit dernière lors du match 2 (108-125), les Bucks ont perdu l’avantage du terrain. Privés de leur superstar double MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo sur les deux premiers matchs en raison d’une douleur à la cuisse gauche, celui-ci serait proche d’un retour selon son coach Doc Rivers. <\/strong><\/h2>

Les 125 points encaissés la nuit dernière montrent bien à quel point Milwaukee est orpheline de son meilleur défenseur de la saison 2020 et accessoirement 8 fois All-Star. Désormais en danger, les Bucks seront dans l’obligation de réagir dans l’Indiana et de prendre au moins un match. La présence de Giannis Antetokounmpo serait la bienvenue. Et il semblerait que ça en prenne la direction.<\/p>

Antetokounmpo n’a plus joué depuis 15 jours<\/strong><\/h3>

Effectivement, à en croire les propos donnés hier par Doc Rivers à The Athletic<\/em><\/a>, le retour du grec semble imminent, peut-être même dès le match 3 Vendredi soir.<\/p>

« Il a pris des tirs aujourd’hui [hier]. Il a un peu été sur le parquet donc il se rapproche [d’un retour]. » déclarait l’entraîneur vainqueur du titre final en 2008. Ce timing rentre dans les clous du délai initialement donné par les Bucks<\/a> qui annonçaient vaguement « s’être préparés à devoir se passer d’Antetokounmpo pour le début de la série ».<\/p>

Nul ne doute également que la tournure des évènements, avec des Bucks ayant perdus l’avantage du terrain, a modifié le calendrier de retour du meilleur joueur de la saison de Milwaukee. Il y a bonnes chances que si les Bucks menaient 2 à 0 cette série, Antetokounmpo et le staff médical de Milwaukee n’auraient précipiter le retour du MVP des finales 2021.<\/p>

Lundi, selon Doc Rivers toujours, Antetokounmpo a eu un « jour de maintenance » après avoir enchaîné 4 jours consécutifs d’entraînement avec contacts. Il semblerait donc que nous prenions tout doucement la direction d’une présence du grec au match, même si tout cela restera évidemment à être confirmé.<\/p>

En tout cas il semble assez peu probable de ne pas voir Antetokounmpo en action sur les deux matchs à Indianapolis. Sorti sur blessure lors d’un match face aux Celtics le 9 Avril, il n’a pas disputé la moindre minute de jeu depuis.<\/p>

Milwaukee patauge en attendant son retour<\/strong><\/h3>

Les 30.4 points, 11.5 rebonds et 6.5 passes décisives (record en carrière) de moyenne cette saison de Giannis Antetokounmpo sont attendus par ses coéquipiers qui ont eu tout le mal du monde à trouver quelque chose d’efficace en deuxième mi-temps lors de ces deux premiers matchs.<\/p>

À l’image de Damian Lillard, immense sur les premières mi-temps (35 et 26 points) et presque fantomatique sur les deuxièmes (0 et 8 points). Les Bucks ont également perdu 3 des 4 quart-temps de deuxième mi-temps pour l’instant en encaissant au moins 26 points à chaque fois.<\/p>

Vu la forme étincelante de Pascal Siakam, auteur de 37 points hier, les Bucks auront aussi besoin de leur double MVP défensivement face à une équipe des Pacers meilleure attaque de la saison régulière et qui attend toujours le réveil de Tyrese Haliburton (10.5 points de moyenne sur la série).<\/p>

Milwaukee est désormais dans l’obligation de remporter au moins un match au Gainbridge Fieldhouse et Giannis Antetokounmpo pourrait bien aider à cela.<\/p>

Match 3 vendredi soir à 23h30 (heure française). Il pourrait donc y avoir de la star à tout bout de champ dans l’Indiana en fin de semaine.<\/p>
