NFL – Semaine de Draft pour la ligue nord-américaine de football. Toutes les équipes placent leurs pions. Parmi elles, les Eagles pourraient bien être tentés de passer des coups de fil en vue d’éventuels transferts. <\/strong><\/h2>

Mais que nous réserve les Eagles de Philadelphie pour cette Draft 2024 ? Le très bien informé Adam Schefter d’ESPN<\/em> rapporte aujourd’hui que les « Birds » seraient intéressés par d’éventuels transferts dans le processus de cette Draft<\/a>. L’objectif ? Monter un peu plus haut, les Eagles semblent avoir des plans pour plusieurs joueurs et aimeraient ne pas se faire couper l’herbe sous le pied.<\/p>

Monter à la Draft, une classique des Eagles<\/strong><\/p>

 <\/strong><\/p>

De plus, il y a un passif entre les montées à la Draft et le manager général des Eagles, Howie Roseman.<\/p>

Schefter rappelle qu’en 2019 déjà, Roseman l’avait fait pour aller chercher le plaqueur offensif Andre Dillard. En 2021, Philadelphie était monté pour prendre son désormais receveur star, DeVonta Smith, détenteur tout frais d’un onéreux contrat.<\/p>

En 2022, c’est cette fois Jordan Davis, linebacker, que les Eagles avaient choisi par la voie d’un transfert à la Draft. Enfin, l’an dernier c’est sur Jalen Carter, joueur de ligne défensive, que les Eagles avaient jetés leur dévolu.<\/p>

Il y a donc de grandes chances de voir Philadelphie s’activer et faire chauffer les lignes téléphoniques lors de la Draft.<\/p>

Un cornerback serait visé <\/strong><\/p>

 <\/strong><\/p>

Cette année, Howie Roseman semble vouloir acquérir à tout prix un cornerback à la Draft. C’est en tout cas le bruit qui circule au sein de la ligue selon Adam Schefter. Actuellement détenteur du choix 22 au premier tour, Philly devrait bien avoir à monter un peu plus haut pour sélectionner son cornerback.<\/p>

Selon les sources de Schefter, Roseman aurait déjà commencé à passer des coups de fil çà et là afin de voir les demandes des équipes contactées et se préparer à ce qui devient une routine annuelle pour les Eagles, à savoir opérer des transferts durant la Draft. Depuis qu’il est manager général de cette équipe (2010), Roseman n’a jamais drafté de cornerback, de tight end, de running back ou de safety. 2024 pourrait donc être une première.<\/p>

Les Eagles, désormais amputés de Jason Kelce parti à la retraite<\/a>, nourissent de grandes ambitions pour la saison 2024 après le cuisant échec en 2023 avec une élimination au premier tour des Playoffs malgré un départ canon en début de saison (10 victoires et 1 défaite).<\/p>
