Opposés aux Pelicans pour l’antépénultième journée de la saison régulière d ela NBA, les Warriors se sont inclinés compromettant leur chance d’obtenir la 8è place.<\/h2>

Avant cette défaite, les Warriors étaient sur une bonne lancée, ayant remporté 9 de leurs 11 derniers matchs, avec seulement un match d’avance sur les Houston Rockets au 25 mars.<\/p>

Cependant, cette récente défaite laisse Golden State dépendant de l’aide extérieure pour même pouvoir accueillir le match de qualification 9-10, sans parler de progresser à la huitième position. Klay Thompson a exprimé sa déception<\/a> après le match, soulignant la frustration de perdre le contrôle de leur destin en playoffs :<\/p>

« Cette défaite fait mal »<\/p><\/blockquote>

Dans le classement, les Warriors sont juste derrière les Los Angeles Lakers (46-35) et les Sacramento Kings (45-36). Golden State et Sacramento ont tous deux un avantage sur les Lakers en termes de tie breaker, se positionnant pour potentiellement finir au-dessus de Los Angeles si les équipes terminent avec des bilan identiques. Cependant, Sacramento détient l’avantage sur Golden State basé sur les bilan de division, donc les Warriors ont besoin d’un meilleur bilan général pour dépasser les Kings.<\/p>

Mais malgré cela, pour Stephen Curry<\/strong><\/a>, l’important se trouve dans la forme de l’équipe avant de débuter le play-in :<\/p>

« Je m’en fiche complètement », a déclaré Curry. « Il s’agit plutôt de se remettre en question et de laisser filer un match comme celui de ce soir. En fin de compte, ce serait vraiment bien d’obtenir (la huitième place) ; vous voulez deux chances. Cela aurait été l’objectif. Mais on veut juste avoir les meilleures vibrations avant un scénario de play-offs ou de play-in ».<\/p><\/blockquote>

Quels scénarios pour dimanche ?<\/h3>

À venir, Golden State et Sacramento ont des matchs favorables dimanche. Les Warriors accueilleront les Utah Jazz au Chase Center, tandis que les Kings, malgré leurs récentes difficultés avec sept défaites lors de leurs dix derniers matchs, joueront contre les Portland Trail Blazers au Golden 1 Center.<\/p>

Les Lakers affrontent un match difficile à l’extérieur contre les Pelicans, qui luttent pour maintenir leur position dans le sixième spot et éviter le tournoi de qualification en gagnant ou en espérant une défaite des Phoenix Suns.<\/p>

Si les Warriors échouent à passer le play-in, cela marquera la troisième fois en cinq saisons qu’ils manquent les playoffs.<\/p>
