Alors que le départ des Athletics vers Vegas est acté, la ville d’Oakland va présenter à la franchise une proposition de prolongation de bail de 5 ans.<\/h2>

Ce mardi, les deux parties vont se rencontrer pour discuter des derniers détails, une première depuis que les propriétaires de la MLB ont approuvé le déménagement de la franchise dans le Nevada.<\/p>

Selon ESPN<\/a>, il s’agirait d’un bail de 5 ans avec une clause de sortie au bout de 3 ans ainsi que d’un paiement de 97 millions de dollars.<\/p>

Cette prolongation de bail résoudrait le dilemme de la franchise sur sa localisation le temps de la construction de son nouveau stade à Las Vegas.<\/p>

Dans le même temps, la franchise est en négociation avec la ville de Sacramento mais aussi de Slat Lake City, même si l’idée d’un déménagement temporaire à Sacramento semble être en pôle position notamment à cause des revenus télé.<\/p>

De plus, la ville sollicite un engagement de la part de la MLB concernant l’une des trois options suivantes :<\/p>

    \n
  1. accorder à la ville un droit exclusif d’un an pour rechercher un propriétaire pour une future équipe d’expansion ;<\/li>\n
  2. prendre la décision de conserver le nom et les couleurs des Athletics à Oakland ; ou<\/li>\n
  3. aider à la vente des Athletics à un groupe de propriétaires basé localement<\/li>\n<\/ol>

    En ce début de saison, les A’s ont vu une affluence combinée de 22 784 spectateurs sur les 3 premiers matchs de la saison.<\/p>
