Grand artisan de l’épopée des Texas Rangers<\/a> la saison dernière, Jordan Montgomery<\/a> a passé toute l’intersaison à la recherche d’une franchise. C’est du côté des Diamondbacks d’Arizona<\/a> que le lanceur partant va poser ses valises.<\/p>

Jordan Montgomery : Un an et plus si affinité<\/h3>

C’est un contrat d’un an et 25 millions de dollars qui attend le lanceur gaucher chez les Diamondbacks. Si l’aventure se passe bien pour Jordan Montgomery, il pourrait bien rester une saison de plus.<\/p>

En effet, une année optionnelle à 20 millions de dollars a été intégrée dans le contrat si Jordan Montgomery effectue 10 départs dans la saison. Jordan Montgomery touchera 22.5 millions de dollars si il commence 18 matchs et 25 millions si il lance en tant que starter 23 fois.<\/p>

Jordan Montgomery : Une rotation plus solide que jamais chez les Dbacks<\/h3>

Jordan Montgomery vient donc s’ajouter à la rotation déjà composée notamment de Zac Gallen<\/a> et Merrill Kelly<\/a>.<\/p>

Pour rappel la saison dernière, Jordan Montgomery a terminé avec une ERA de 2.79 en 11 départs avec les Texas Rangers qu’il avait rejoint à la trade deadline en provenance des St.Louis Cardinals.<\/p>

Ce sont surtout ses performances en postseason que l’on a en tête avec un bilan de 3 victoires et 1 défaites, 2.90 d’ERA en 6 matchs de playoffs (donc 5 en tant que lanceur partant) et un titre de champion, le premier de l’histoire des Texas Rangers.<\/p>

Le lanceur gaucher de 31 ans va donc connaitre sa quatrième équipe depuis son départ des New York Yankees avec qui il a passé ses 6 premières saisons dans la ligue.<\/p>

Les Diamondbacks et Torey Lovullo<\/a> montrent bien leur intention de continuer leur ascension après cet extraordinaire saison 2023.<\/p>
