Pendant près de 12 minutes, Shohei Ohtani a lu une déclaration concernant l’affaire de son interprète.<\/h2>

Devant une salle comble, Shohei Ohtani s’est dit « choqué » par ces révélations réitérant qu’il n’a jamais lui même pris part à des paris sportifs.<\/p>

« A titre personnel, je suis très triste et choqué que quelqu’un en qui j’avais confiance ait agi de la sorte », a déclaré Shohei Ohtani.
\n« Je n’ai jamais parié sur le baseball ou sur d’autres sports et je n’ai jamais demandé à quelqu’un de le faire en mon nom. Je ne suis jamais passé par un bookmaker pour parier sur le sport. Jusqu’à il y a deux jours, je ne savais pas que cela se produisait. »<\/p><\/blockquote>

Pour rappel, Mizuhara, un proche ami de Shohei Ohtani<\/strong><\/a> qui a déménagé aux États-Unis avec lui il y a plus de six ans, a été renvoyé par les Dodgers mercredi dernier à la suite d’enquêtes médiatiques concernant des virements bancaires s’élevant à au moins 4,5 millions de dollars depuis le compte bancaire d’Ohtani vers une opération de prise de paris en Californie du Sud, actuellement sous l’examen des autorités fédérales.<\/p>

Vendredi après-midi, la Major League Baseball a annoncé que son département des enquêtes a officiellement commencé à examiner la situation. Malgré cela, Shohei Ohtani devrait continuer à jouer tandis que l’enquête se déroule. Une source de la MLB a informé ESPN<\/a> lundi que les enquêteurs de la MLB ont été en communication avec les procureurs fédéraux, qui leur ont donné le feu vert pour poursuivre leur enquête sans aucune limitation.<\/p>

« Maintenant, j’ai hâte de me concentrer sur la saison. Je suis heureux que nous ayons eu l’occasion de parler et je suis sûr que les enquêtes se poursuivront à l’avenir. »<\/p><\/blockquote>
