cet article<\/a>, le hip drop tackle est « une technique de plaquage dans laquelle un coureur est stoppé par un autre joueur. Dans ce plaquage, le joueur défensif entoure le coureur avec ses bras ou l’attrape avec ses mains tout en faisant porter son poids et la partie basse de son corps sur les jambes du coureur ». Une technique de plaquage qui fait débat depuis de nombreux mois: les défenseurs de la technique avancent que son interdiction viendrait à restreindre le champ d’action des défenses alors que les détracteurs du hip drop tackle avancent le nombre de blessures causées par cette technique.<\/p>Comme pour toute faute en NFL, une sanction est prévue pour les joueurs qui réaliseraient encore ce plaquage jugé dangereux! D’après l’article 18, cette sanction serait de 15 yards (et donc une première tentative automatique). Pour entrer en vigueur, l’article doit recevoir l’approbation de 2\/3 des propriétaires de franchises NFL soit 24 voix nécessaires sur les 32 propriétaires présents à la réunion annuelle de la ligue.<\/p>
