New York Post<\/em><\/a> révèle aujourd’hui que le numéro 12 des Giants a sérieusement considéré mettre un terme à sa carrière lors de la saison 2023.<\/p>Il faut dire que cette première saison sous le maillot des New York Giants fut assez frustrante pour Darren Waller. Dans une attaque souvent en difficulté, avec un quarterback titulaire qui fut lui aussi blessé et avec une ligne offensive souvent poreuse, Waller n’a pas eu le rendement escompté lors de son arrivée dans la Grosse Pomme. En 12 rencontres, le tight end aura réussi 52 réceptions pour 552 yards et un seul petit touchdown.<\/p>
Mais finalement, Darren Waller a pris la décision de poursuivre sa carrière sans doute aussi pour finir sur une meilleure note que cette dernière saison. Après quelques rumeurs qui affirmaient que le joueur aurait pu être coupé pour faire de la place dans le salary cap, il apparaît aujourd’hui que les Giants semblent bien décider à conserver Waller. Sans doute pour se donner à l’un comme à l’autre une dernière chance.<\/p>
