NFL – Ce dimanche, c’est l’acte 3 entre Josh Allen et les Chiefs de Kansas City cette saison et l’occasion de potentiellement changer le cours de son héritage.<\/h2>

Sur les 4 dernières saisons, les Chiefs et les Bills se sont affrontés 6 fois et les Bills ont l’ascendant sur les matchs de saison régulière mais les playoffs décrivent une tout autre histoire. Dans l’ère Josh Allen chez les Bills, jamais ils n’ont réussi à s’imposer.<\/p>

À chaque confrontation, les Bills ont du se déplacer à Arrowhead pour essayer de passer au tour suivant, mais à la fin, c’est Patrick Mahomes et les Chiefs qui se sont imposés à la fin.<\/p>

Même si Josh Allen a toutes les qualités pour s’imposer, ce mur qui se dresse à chaque fois face à lui l’empêche de passer une étape importante dans sa carrière. On a tous en mémoire ce match historique en 2022 lors du divisional round. Josh Allen<\/strong><\/a> avait pourtant terminé la rencontre avec 329 yards et 4 touchdowns mais s’était incliné en prolongation.<\/p>

Briser la malédiction<\/h3>

Cette rencontre de dimanche apparait donc comme une possibilité pour les Bills de briser une sorte de malédiction lorsqu’ils affrontent les Chiefs en playoffs. Plus largement, Buffalo c’est un peu la franchise maudite depuis le début des années 90 et leur 4 super Bowls de suite perdus.<\/p>

L’arrivée de Josh Allen et son développement en franchise quarterback a redonné espoir à la Bills Mafia. Et à raison : entre 2019 et 2023, Josh Allen compile en moyenne 4125 yards pour 31 TDs par saison. Mais le Super Bowl reste encore inaccessible.<\/p>

Jusqu’à présent, l’impression qui demeure est celle d’un plafond de verre que les Bills et Josh Allen n’ont su dépasser. Malgré tout le talent que Josh Allen possède, l’équipe des Bills n’a jamais réussi à terminer le travail. Josh Allen se trouve donc à la croisée des chemins dans sa carrière. Il est présent et établi depuis plusieurs saisons, a eu des matchs incroyables mais le succès se jugera sur ce genre de match.<\/p>

Les exemples dans l’histoire du sports sont nombreux où une star se trouve dans cette situation avant d’éventuellement réussir à passer ce fameux cap face à un adversaire qu’il ne pensait pas être en mesure de battre : Steve Young face aux Cowboys au début des années 90, Michael Jordan avec les Pistons ou encore LeBron James.<\/p>

La saison 2023 de Josh Allen a été faite de haut et de bas mais le momentum est clairement en sa faveur sur cette deuxième moitié de saison. Le retour des Bills vers le titre de division, le 4è de suite, leur permet ce dimanche de jouer à la maison, une première face aux Chiefs en playoffs.<\/p>
