Le In-Season Tournament s’est terminé avec la victoire des Lakers<\/a> ce week-end. Adam Silver a tenu à faire un petit bilan de cette nouveauté dans le paysage NBA<\/a>.<\/h2>

Dans l’ensemble, ce nouveau tournoi fut un succès. Et comme toute nouveauté, il y aura des choses à améliorer, voir modifier. Nous en parlons dans le podcast And One, disponible ici<\/a>. Mais Adam Silver a donné son ressenti à ESPN<\/a> hier. Voici le récapitulatif de ses déclarations.<\/p>

« Je tiens à remercier tous les joueurs de la ligue, les entraîneurs et, bien sûr, les équipes, d’avoir adopté ce nouveau concept. Je sais que cela ne va pas sans difficultés. Il ne fait aucun doute que nous avons appris certaines choses cette fois-ci.<\/p>\n

Les gens sont probablement fatigués d’entendre le mot ‘tweak’. Nous allons donc trouver un autre synonyme pour ce mot. »<\/p><\/blockquote>

« Je suis un fervent défenseur des courts colorés. Évidemment, nous voulons nous assurer que les joueurs aient confiance en eux et que le type de peinture utilisé ne soit pas plus glissant. Je pense que nous avons réglé ces questions, d’ailleurs, mais nous voulons nous assurer qu’elles ne sont pas une source de distraction.<\/p>\n

Je pense que dans le processus que nous avons suivi la première fois, ils sont un peu à l’emporte-pièce. J’adore le terrain que nous utilisons ici pour les demi-finales et la finale, mais je pense qu’il pourrait y avoir un peu plus de créativité. »<\/p><\/blockquote>

« Nous l’appelons une coupe, pas un trophée, mais il y a aussi un trophée MVP, et nous nous demandons s’il devrait porter le nom de David. Certains ont estimé qu’il n’était pas assez grand. Mais je pense que tout le monde dans la communauté de la NBA veut s’assurer qu’ils sont suffisants pour prendre en compte l’énorme contribution qu’il a apportée au jeu.<\/p>\n

Je ne suis pas prêt à m’en éloigner (à propos de la différence de points entre les deux équipes), mais si en fin de compte il y a un sentiment, en particulier de la part de nos fans américains, que c’est une indication d’un mauvais esprit sportif, ce n’est pas une bonne idée pour nous de le faire. »<\/p><\/blockquote>
