NBA – Les rencontres qui opposent les Cavaliers et les Knicks ont pris une toute autre saveurs depuis deux ans maintenant ajoutant de la motivation supplémentaire à ces rencontres.<\/h2>

Mais hier soir, cette extra-motivation n’aura pas suffi pour les hommes de J.B. Bickerstaff. Après un début de match où les Cavaliers sont restés au contact des Knicks, le début du troisième quart-temps aura été fatal pour les coéquipiers de Donovan Mitchell<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>

Aucun des 11 premiers tirs tentés n’est rentré laissant les Knicks prendre le large. Les cavaliers ont été incapable par la suite de redresser la barre pour revenir dans le match. Pourtant, ce n’est pas faute d’avoir joué un basket collectif et réfléchi :<\/p>

« Je ne pense pas que nous ayons joué sans être compétitifs », a déclaré Bickerstaff via le News-Herald<\/a>. « Je pense que nous étions compétitifs, mais c’est la nature de la chose. Vous arrivez et vous ratez vos 11 premiers tirs dans le troisième quart-temps, vous allez avoir du mal à rester dans le match. »<\/p>\n

« Ils ont joué de la bonne manière. Ils ont partagé le ballon. Ils se sont créé des opportunités de tirs les uns pour les autres. Les tirs n’ont tout simplement pas été rentrés. »<\/p><\/blockquote>

L’absence de Darius Garland et Jarrett Allen pèse sur cette équipe qui ne peut pas compter uniquement sur Mobley et Mitchell.<\/p>

Alors que le fait de joueur à la maison était un réel avantage pour ces Cavaliers jusqu’à présent, la saison 2023-24 montre un tout autre visage avec 3 défaites en autant de match à la maison. Il n’en fallait pas moins pour que les premières rumeurs de départ de Donovan Mitchell éclate.<\/p>
