It was already in the plan, which the <a href=\"https:\/\/theplayoffs.news\/en\/nba-planning-new-four-team-all-star-game-format-for-2025-event\/\" class=\"trk-cta-link\" data-cta-trk='{\"ctaType\":\"Link\",\"ctaSubType\":\"main\"}'>NBA had earlier proposed<\/a>. It will be a mini-tournament and all games will be played to a target score of 40 points.<\/p><p>Each team will be headed by four general managers, Shaquille O&rsquo;Neal, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Candace. The first three managers will have the right to pick NBA all-star players while Candace will run a team consisting of the rising stars in the league. Each team will consist of eight players. <\/p><p>First-year and second-year NBA and developmental G-League talent will take part in the Rising Stars game and will qualify for the Sunday event. NBA All-Star 2025 will feature two semifinals, and the winners will advance to the championship contest. <\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">All-Star draft and voting <\/h3><p>The Rising Stars squad will be known as Team Candace for WNBA legend Candace Parker. 24 All-Stars will be divided into three teams, Team Chuck, Team Shaq and Team Kenny. The All-Star draft will be held on Feb. 6.<\/p><p>The voting process will be the same for All-Star players. The fan voting count will be 50% and 25% each will go to current NBA players and a media panel. NBA coaches will get the right to pick reserve players.<\/p><p>The coaching staffs of the teams with the best record in the Eastern and Western conferences will be given preferences to serve as All-Star Game coaches.
