The New York Liberty will welcome the Dallas Wings on Tuesday, August 5, at Barclays Center for the rematch of their previous meeting that took place on Monday, July 28. This will be the second time both teams will be up against each other in the 2025 WNBA <\/a>season. In their previous meeting, the Wings pulled off an upset over the reigning champions by taking them down 92-82. Needless to say, the sole motive of Liberty for the upcoming game would be to avenge the defeat. <\/p>

Talking about their previous game, Arike Ogunbowale and Paige Bueckers both put 20 points each on the scoreboard. Luisa Geiselsoder dropped in 14 points, three rebounds, and one assist for the Wings. On the Liberty’s side, Jonquel Jones led the charts with 18 points, seven rebounds, and two assists. Sabrina Ionescu dropped 17 points with four rebounds and five assists. <\/p>

New York defeated the Connecticut Sun in their most recent match-up to end their four-game losing skid. They would focus on continuing the momentum, and home conditions are likely to play a role. On the flip side, the Wings have lost five games in a row, making them equally desperate for a victory. They would, obviously, ride high on confidence, considering the result of their previous game. <\/p>

The Liberty have a total of three players listed as out on the injury report. Breanna Stewart will miss action due to a right knee bruise, and there is no timeline set for her return. Burke will be out for a few more games as well due to her right calf strain. Similarly, Sabally is expected to be out for a few more days due to her knee discomfort. <\/p>

Dallas Wings Injuries <\/h3>

The Dallas Wings will regain Maddy Siegrist on Tuesday against the New York Liberty, but with a minutes restriction.

More Wings notes: Myisha Hines-Allen (ankle) is questionable, while Diamond Miller will be active. A hardship deal is likely.
