Chicago Sky star Angel Reese opened up on the new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). She, along with several other stars, have been making sure that the WNBA players don’t give up when it comes to demanding better pay. Recently, Reese sat down with ESPN’s Elle Duncan and talked about the issue. The Sky star said that she and her peers know exactly what they are demanding for, and they won’t give up until their demands are met. <\/p>
The 23-year-old said, “Team Revenue. The revenue shares, that’s really important for us. We deserve it. I know we’re not letting up. I know we’re going to do whatever it takes to get what we deserve. I’m just going to continue to educate myself on what’s going on and staying involved. I know my voice, I know my platform, and I know when I speak and people are listening.”<\/em><\/p> Notably, the WNBPA has been demanding significantly higher annual salaries, considering the super max contract is at $250K per year. This is not it! Another major issue that needs to be addressed is that players in the league receive only 9.3% of the league’s revenue, whereas their NBA counterparts earn up to 50%. <\/p>
