The enthralling encounter between tennis&rsquo; current top rivalry meant that Sinner and Alcaraz have now won all three of this year&rsquo;s slams between themselves.<\/p><p>The pair has also distanced themselves from the others in their generation. Sinner, with his win at <a href=\"https:\/\/theplayoffs.news\/en\/tennis\/\" class=\"trk-cta-link\" data-cta-trk='{\"ctaType\":\"Link\",\"ctaSubType\":\"main\"}'>Wimbledon<\/a>, now has a total of 4 slams, whereas Alcaraz currently sits on 5.&nbsp;<\/p><p>Prior to yesterday&rsquo;s final, the Spaniard had a chance at keeping his run of a perfect record in the finals of a major intact as he held a 5-0 record. Ahead of the 2025 Wimbledon final, Alcaraz had won the 2022 US Open, the 2023 and 2024 Wimbledon, and the 2024 and 2025 French Open titles without a loss.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">5-0 &ndash; Carlos Alcaraz is the player with the most Men&rsquo;s Singles Grand Slam finals played in the Open Era without ever losing  (5-0). While that debate now has other players in the conversation, there is still a unique record that he currently keeps all to himself.&nbsp;<\/p><p>Federer started his career with a bang. The eight-time Wimbledon Champion actually started his career winning the first seven Grand Slam finals of his career before his first loss at the hands of Rafael Nadal on the clay courts of Roland Garros. From Wimbledon 2003 to the 2006 Roland Garros, the Swiss maestro went on a tear, winning all seven major finals that he played in.&nbsp;<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Federer&rsquo;s First Seven Slam Finals<\/h2><p>Roger Federer&rsquo;s dominance at the Grand Slam level started with his 2003 win at Wimbledon over Mark Philippoussis. Although a win yesterday would have still kept him 1 behind the Swiss sensation, the Spaniard would have had the opportunity to equal Federer in his next Slam final, whenever that opportunity would present itself.&nbsp;<\/p><p>Now, looking at the current crop of players, there is nobody in contention to match this record at least for the foreseeable future.
