The development came a day after Chet Holmgren signed a rookie extension worth up to $240 million. Williams, the first-time All-Star and <a href=\"https:\/\/theplayoffs.news\/en\/nba\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"trk-cta-link\" data-cta-trk='{\"ctaType\":\"Link\",\"ctaSubType\":\"main\"}'>NBA<\/a> Champion, is coming off a memorable season in which he averaged 21.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.6 steals per game he played for the Thunder.&nbsp;<\/p><p>Williams was also named to the All-NBA Third Team and was on the All-Defensive Second Team. During his team&rsquo;s run to the 2025 title, the 24-year-old dropped 21.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists as well as 1.4 steals per game while shooting 44.9% overall and 30.4% from behind the arc. The extensions signed by Gilgeous-Alexander, Williams and Holmgren with the Thunder cost as much as $822 million. While the 2025 NBA MVP Gilgeous-Alexander has been a headliner, players such as Holmgren and Williams have also played key roles.&nbsp;<\/p><p>All the core members of the 2025 title team are under contract for next season and none of them will enter free agency until the summer of 2027.
